TMZ reports the person free agent WR Titus Young is accused of attacking earlier this month was his own attorney.
The attack reportedly took place at a "medical treatment center" in Los Angeles. Per TMZ, Young is also accused of attacking four other people in the past two months, all at the same facility. Thu Mar 20 201415:47Titus Young nearing plea agreement
Free agent Titus Young is "close" to a plea deal on the 11 charges he faces from his May 2013 crime spree.
Young is charged with four felonies, so he's likely facing jail time. Getting his myriad charges behind him would be the first step toward reviving his football career, though it's unclear if Young has any intention of returning to the gridiron. The troubled former second-round pick is still only 24 years old.

Tue Aug 27 201314:09Arrest warrant issued for Titus Young
An arrest warrant has been issued for ex-Lions WR Titus Young after he missed a court appearance on Tuesday.
Sad. Young has been missing court appearances all summer, but the judge had allowed it because Young was receiving some sort of treatment. However, the judge mandated that Young show up Tuesday, and he didn't. Young is now headed to jail unless the sides can reach some sort of an agreement. Clearly not well, Young could be allowed to report to a medical facility.

Tue Jul 2 201317:09Titus' lawyer: He's dealing with concussions
Free agent Titus Young's lawyer says he's "still suffering from concussions."
Per Young's lawyer, he was excused from his second straight court appearance Tuesday as he continued to undergo "psychiatric evaluation and (treatment related) to concussions he suffered while playing football." It's yet to be determined if Young will be well enough to make his next court appearance. It appears the legal system believes Young was not of a sound mind when he went on his May crime spree.

Sat Jun 8 201317:12Titus Young released from jail after 27 days
Free agent Titus Young has been released from jail after posting bond.
Young spent 27 days in the Orange County Jail. He's still facing numerous charges, including drunk driving, burglary, and assaulting a police officer. Jail was probably the best thing for Young. His parents refused to bail him out because he was "anchored" there. Young's next court date is set for June 24.

Fri May 31 201308:38NFL: We reached out to Titus, he declined
The NFL says it "reached out" to free agent Titus Young before his off-the-field meltdown, but that he declined help.
"It was someone very, very close to him who was just concerned - really concerned," said Troy Vincent, the league's director of player engagement. "We went to people very close to his center of influence, to reach out to see how we can support him. The response was of someone who is not open arms to being supported." People close to Young clearly saw his unhinged behavior coming, but it appears he declined any and all offers of help. Now Young is facing up to 10 years of prison on 11 different charges. It's a sad situation.

Fri May 24 201316:14Three counts added to Young's court charges
Three charges have been added to free agent Titus Young's Orange County Superior Court count, bringing the total to 11.
The new counts were undisclosed, but are related to Young's alleged May 11 burglary of a southern California home. His bail was upped from $25,000 to $50,000, as the judge deemed Young "a danger to the community." Young appeared in court Friday morning behind a protective cage, dressed in inmate orange. The judge asked him three questions and he didn't reply to any of them.

Fri May 17 201308:58Titus Young accused of domestic violence
In addition to the eight pending charges he is facing, Titus Young has been accused of domestic violence by the mother of his 9-month-old son.
The woman has taken out a temporary restraining order, and is seeking a permanent one. "He would say things like, `I understand why O.J. killed his wife,'" the woman alleged in a court filing. She also revealed that Young has been "clinically diagnosed with a mental disorder." Things are going to get worse before they get better for the troubled Young.

Tue May 14 201318:02Titus Young facing another felony charge
Free agent Titus Young has been medically cleared to appear in court, and has been charged with felony theft stemming from a May 4 incident at a convenience store in addition to his other charges.
It means Young has been charged with an incomprehensible eight crimes - including three felonies - in the past 10 days. It's a disturbing unraveling for a player who was always billed as a head-case but had previously avoided run-ins with the law during his NFL career. His only previous arrest was for minor in possession of alcohol during his college days. Clearly dealing with serious brain/mental issues, Young will hopefully get the help he needs.

Mon May 13 201320:50Titus Young's father: Son has brain disorder
Free agent Titus Young's father says his son has a brain disorder and needs help.
Ya think? Richard Young took Titus out for coffee on Friday morning, mere hours before Titus' latest arrest. Titus then drove off in his car without saying goodbye. "We knew that something had happened to him or he was locked up again," Richard said. "His mind is not capable enough to go out and deal with society because of this situation." Titus supposedly suffers from a disorder caused by his brain being compressed against the front of his skull, and he hasn't been taking his prescribed medication. Doctors told Richard that treatment could take six months or less. Maybe the sun will finally shine on Titus, and he can get the help he so badly needs.

Sun May 12 201313:46Ex-Lion Titus Young arrested again on Friday
Ex-Lions WR Titus Young was arrested and charged with burglary, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest Friday night in San Clemente, CA.
That's three arrests in less than a week for Young, who appears to be trying to keep pace with ex-Oregon CB Cliff Harris. Young is still stewing in jail after the arrest. He reportedly broke into a home, and then tried fighting the officers. Young was arrested twice in a 15-hour period last Sunday for drunk driving and then trying to steal his impounded car from a towing company's lot. He won't be seeing an NFL field anytime soon.

Wed May 8 201308:43Titus Young's high school coach is worried
Titus Young's high school coach said he wishes the former Lion would "get some help."
E.C. Robinson said he hasn't spoken to Young since late March and hoped he was in an institute. "He was talking some things that just didn't make sense," Robinson said of the last time the two conversed. "I don't know, I just wish he'd get some help. I know football is probably out of the question, right now it's trying to get his life together." Young was arrested twice in a 15-hour span Sunday.

Tue May 7 201320:59Ex-Lions WR Young arrested twice in 15 hours
Free agent WR Titus Young was arrested twice in 15 hours last Sunday.
The troubled ex-Lion was busted for drunk driving at 12:01 Sunday morning in Moreno Valley, Cal. He was then arrested again 15 hours later after he was caught trying to steal his impounded Mustang from a tow-company lot. It's the exact kind of confounding, short-sighted behavior that earned Young his walking papers from the Lions less than two years after he was a second-round pick. Young needs to get serious help before his life spirals completely out of control.

Fri Feb 22 201310:59Lions GM: There will be no Titus reunion
Lions GM Martin Mayhew says he's reached out to help troubled free agent Titus Young, but that the door on a possible return to Detroit "is shut."
Mayhew has been in contact with Young "and his family." Mayhew's comments suggest Young is dealing with legitimate mental problems, which appeared to be the case during his bizarre on- and off-the-field meltdown last season. Young surely isn't pleased about being on the open market, but some time away from the game may be necessary to save his career.

Fri Feb 22 201309:55Fisher didn't consult Schwartz on Titus
Lions coach Jim Schwartz says he wasn't consulted by friend and mentor Jeff Fisher before the Rams waived former Lion Titus Young.
It means the two men both independently decided they couldn't have Young on their football teams. That's very bad news for Young's future, as Schwartz and Fisher are two of the league's more willing coaches to take on players with character concerns. Young's phone may not ring for a while.

Tue Feb 19 201317:56Titus Young goes unclaimed on waivers
Titus Young passed through waivers unclaimed, and is now an unrestricted free agent.
Hopefully he's not expecting any calls, because it could be a while before his phone rings. Young's talent should eventually earn him a third chance, but he'll have to go to great lengths to rehab a reputation he's torn to shreds. It might be a long time before we hear Young's name again. That is, provided none of his former coaches decide to take shots at him.

Fri Feb 15 201315:15Fisher a bit vague on waiving of Titus Young
Rams coach Jeff Fisher did not get into specifics when discussing why the team waived WR Titus Young on Friday.
"We spent probably four or five days with him," said Fisher. "At the end of the interview process, we decided it was best for us to go another direction. Perhaps Titus is better suited for another organization." Fisher did say the Rams put Young through an "extended interview process." Unsurprisingly, Young's interviews were unimpressive. He's likely to clear waivers now.
