Eagles WR Ronald Johnson was carted off the practice field with a "gruesome" leg injury Monday.
Per beat writer Jeff McLane, Johnson's ankle could be heard "cracking" from the sideline. We typically wait for more details before reporting on training camp injuries, but it doesn't sound like there's any chance Johnson's injury isn't severe. The 2011 sixth-round pick is almost certainly headed to injured reserve.

Tue Aug 2 201115:16Ronald Johnson impressing early on
According to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, sixth-rounder Ronald Johnson is "perhaps the most-impressive looking of the wideouts" early in camp.
Similar to Steve Smith coming out of USC, Johnson uses his initial quickness to gain separation in the slot. He's more slightly built, though, with a checkered injury history. Johnson will battle Ted Ginn for the No. 3 receiver role. He's a longshot for fantasy relevance in redraft leagues.
