Cromartie recorded four tackles Sunday against the Dolphins.
With the Dolphins basically abandoning their running game, the Jets were able to bring plenty of pressure to make life fairly easy for the secondary. With Miami lacking many legitimate deep threats, Cromartie had a productive game.

Cromartie recorded two tackles Monday against the Colts.
It was a mild surprise that Cromartie played after suffering a knee injury just one week ago, but it was even more of a surprise that he played on 61 of 64 snaps. Although he was burned for a big play by Donte Moncrief, he hads an impressive outing, as it was so soon after his injury.

Cromartie (knee) is listed as active for Monday night's game against the Colts.
It remains to be seen how close to a full workload Cromartie will be in line for, but he'll give it a go Monday opposite Darrelle Revis, with Cromartie's IDP utility largely hinging on his ability to snag the occasional pick. With that in mind, the cornerback who notched 49 tackles last season in an Arizona uniform -- has recorded at least three interceptions in each of the last six NFL seasons.

Cromartie (knee) appears on track to play Monday night against the Colts, NFL Network's Kimberly Jones reports.
We'll verify his status as Monday's 8:30 ET kickoff approaches, but after initial fears that Cromartie might be dealing with a week-to-week injury, it looks like he'll be available to man a starting cornerback slot for the Jets opposite Darrelle Revis on Monday.

Cromartie was limited at Saturday's practice and is listed as questionable for Monday's tilt with the Colts, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
The knee injury Cromartie suffered in Week 1 initially looked like it could be serious enough to be a season-ender, but he received positive news following Monday's MRI, which only revealed a sprain. He was able to get back on the practice field in limited fashion the last two days, but it's still dicey that he'll be able to start Monday night. Given that Cromartie stated earlier this week that he wouldn't play at less than 100 percent health, the odds seem to favor him sitting out versus Indianapolis.
Fri Sep 18 201515:50Cromartie (knee) limited participant in Friday's practice
Cromartie (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, NJ.com reports.
Cromartie's sprained knee suffered in Week 1 prevented him from practicing until Friday, when he still "didn't do a lot" according to coach Todd Bowles. The Jets' No. 2 cornerback previously stated this week that he wouldn't play until he's 100 percent healthy, so it seems rather doubtful he'll suit up Monday night against the Colts. Should that prove true, Buster Skrine would figure to assume a larger role in the Jets' secondary.

Cromartie went down with a non-contact injury during the season opener against the Browns, but a negative MRI luckily dismissed a more serious injury, revealing only a knee sprain. Still, Cromartie is considered week-to-week and judging by his comments it's clear the 31-year-old won't play unless he is certain that he's healthy.

While the Jets' No. 2 cornerback has not been ruled out of next Monday's game versus the Colts, his status will be one to monitor in the coming weeks.

Cromartie (knee) will have an MRI on Monday, Manish Mehta of the Daily News reports.

Cromartie suffered a left knee injury Sunday against the Browns and had to be helped off the field, according to Kim Jones of NFL Network.
Cromartie suffered the injury on a non-contact play and was being looked at by multiple trainers and doctors on the sideline after the incident. Cromartie was expected to be a major part of the defensive backfield this season opposite Darrell Revis, though his IDP value is very interception-dependent because he's not a big tackler.

Cromartie practiced fully on Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer reports.

Cromartie returned an interception for a touchdown and recorded two tackles Saturday against the Giants.
Cromartie hasn't had the best preseason, but he looked just fine as he jumped in front of James Jones and took Eli Manning's pass to the house. With Derrelle Revis playing across from him, expect Cromartie to be tested early and often this season. He'll certainly have opportunities to make tackles and record interceptions if he's on his game.
Sat Aug 22 201512:33Cromartie recorded one tackle Friday against Falcons
Cromartie recorded one tackle Friday against the Falcons.
Cromartie gave up a touchdown to Leonard Hankerson, though he was clearly picked on the play and had no opportunity to defend the receiver. Although he's been somewhat criticized for struggling during training camp, the touchdown shouldn't be held against him for fantasy purposes.
Mon Aug 10 201517:28Cromartie did not participate in team drills Monday
Cromartie did not participate in team drills Monday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
No reason was given for Cromartie's absence, indicating it was likely a rest day for him.
Thu Mar 12 201515:18The Jets have signed Cromartie
The Jets have signed Cromartie, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Cromartie's deal reunites him with fellow cornerback Darrelle Revis, who was lured away from the Patriots on Tuesday. Cromartie, who played with the Jets between 2010 and 2013, recorded 49 tackles and three picks this past season for the Cardinals. Re-adding the aforementioned duo, coupled with the team's signing of Buster Skrine, completes a swift and effective overhaul of the Jets' cornerback corps in advance of the 2015 NFL campaign.
Sun Jan 4 201517:43Cromartie expressed desire to return to Cardinals in 2015
Cromartie expressed a desire to return to the Cardinals in 2015, the team's official site reports. "I feel comfortable here," he said Sunday. "All the young guys that are here, especially in the defensive backs room, they grow on you. It's just a point of seeing what happens in the offseason and go from there."
The upcoming unrestricted free agent will have his pick of the litter this offseason, after a campaign in which he tallied 48 tackles (43 solo), three tackles for loss, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown. Cromartie capped off his first season in Arizona with four tackles (three solo) and a 50-yard interception, which set up the team's second and final touchdown of the game. Because he's showing no signs of slowing down -- he's accrued at least three interceptions in six consecutive years, and seven of the past eight -- he should be a valuable piece of IDP pursuits, wherever he suits up next season.
