Harris (knee) was released by the Giants on Wednesday, NJ.com's Jordan Raanan reports.

According to NJ.com's Jordan Raanan, Harris had a knee procedure after minicamp and was recently seen on crutches. He impressed during training camp and the preseason as an undrafted free agent last year, leading the Giants to place him on injured reserve, rather than releasing him, when he came down with shoulder and hip injuries in late August. The Giants may eventually look into re-signing Harris.

Giants signed WR Marcus Harris, RB Kendall Gaskins, DE Kendrick Adams, OT Steven Baker, and DBs Travis Howard, Junior Mertile, Chaz Powell, and Ross Weaver to reserve/future contracts.

All seven spent the season on the Giants' practice squad.
