Wed Oct 30 201313:59Titans place Rob Turner (shoulder) on I.R.
Titans placed C Rob Turner on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
Turner lost his starting job to Brian Schwenke in Week 7, so it perhaps provides some context for his struggles. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 33 center of 34 qualifiers. The Titans have signed OT Pat McQuistan to replace Turner on the active roster.

Thu Oct 17 201308:10Rob Turner benched in favor of Schwenke
Titans C Rob Turner has been benched in favor of Brian Schwenke.
Through six weeks, Turner is ProFootballFocus' No. 33 center of 34 qualifiers. He's struggled mightily in the run game, so perhaps Schwenke's insertion into the starting lineup can spark Chris Johnson. The fourth-round rookie certainly can't play any worse.

Tue Mar 19 201318:50Titans bring aboard G/C Rob Turner
Titans agreed to terms with G/C Rob Turner, formerly of the Rams.
Turner started all 16 games for the Rams last season, spending seven games at left guard and nine in place of an injured Scott Wells at center. He played 1,084 snaps after missing all of 2011 with a broken leg. Turner fared better at center than guard, but will likely compete for the Titans' right guard job. Ideally, he'd be a reserve and not a starter.

Free agent G/T Robert Turner visited the Rams on Friday.
Turner was one of three free agent guards to visit the Rams on Friday, joining Chilo Rachal and Jamey Richard. Turner missed 2011 with a broken leg, but appeared in all 16 games for the Jets in 2010. He'd be a versatile depth signing for a team reconstructing its offensive line.

Coach Rex Ryan said the Jets won't put G/T Rob Turner (broken leg) on injured reserve right now.

Jets G/T Rob Turner broke his leg in Monday's preseason opener.
Turner will undergo surgery. After watching Vladimir Ducasse struggle badly on Monday and Turner go down, the Jets are likely feeling thin along the offensive line. They could make an add in free agency.

Mon Feb 28 201118:09Jets tender G/T Rob Turner
Jets extended G/T Rob Turner an original pick restricted free agent tender.
Originally undrafted out of Texas Tech, Turner would bring the Jets no compensation if another team signed him to an offer sheet. With two starts in his career, Turner probably won't generate interest in restricted free agency.
