Sun Oct 13 201318:06Pat Edwards held without catch in Week 6
Pat Edwards was held without a catch in Week 6 against the Browns.
Edwards played behind Kris Dunham and Ryan Broyles and was only targeted three times. He was the intended receiver on Matthew Stafford's only interception of the game in the third quarter. Edwards is no higher than the No. 4 receiver on the depth chart and can continue to be ignored in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Pat Edwards (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 5 against Green Bay.
With Edwards back, Kris Durham will head back to special teams. Among Lions pass catchers, Ryan Broyles will remain the best fantasy option behind Calvin Johnson and perhaps Brandon Pettigrew.

Lions WR Pat Edwards (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 4 against the Bears.
Edwards must've encountered a bit of a late-week setback. He will probably be replaced by special teamer Kris Durham against Chicago, although Ryan Broyles, Calvin Johnson, and Reggie Bush are going to gobble up most of the targets.

Thu Sep 26 201318:15Pat Edwards practicing again on Thursday
Lions WR Pat Edwards (ankle) got in his second straight limited practice on Thursday.
It puts Edwards on track to return after his Week 3 absence, though he shouldn't be expected to pick up Nate Burleson's (arm) slack. Those duties will fall more to Ryan Broyles, who will man Burleson's slot. Edwards isn't on the re-draft radar.

Wed Sep 25 201312:06Patrick Edwards practicing on Wednesday
Patrick Edwards (ankle) is practicing Wednesday.
The Lions didn't make any wide receiver signings in the wake of Nate Burleson's injury, so it looks like they expect Edwards to be a go. We wouldn't expect any heroics. Burleson was an inside receiver, a role that will be filled by Ryan Broyles, Tony Scheffler and Brandon Pettigrew. Edwards remains an outside receiver opposite Calvin Johnson and shouldn't expect a big bump in targets.

Sun Sep 8 201318:47Pat Edwards has three catches for 30 yards
Lions WR Patrick Edwards had three catches for 30 yards in Sunday's win over the Vikings.
Edwards played opposite Calvin Johnson in three-wide sets, with Nate Burleson in the slot. He caught all three of his targets, but wasn't a factor on offense. Despite playing in the Lions' pass-happy attack, Edwards is no higher the fourth option in the passing game. He'll likely lose playing time when Ryan Broyles (knee) returns.

Mon Sep 2 201308:50Patrick Edwards to see plenty of playing time
Lions UDFA WR Patrick Edwards is expected to see "plenty of playing time" opposite Calvin Johnson this season.
Any receiver getting significant snaps in the Lions' pass-happy offense is worth monitoring. The Detroit Free Press notes that declining Nate Burleson is best in the slot and Ryan Broyles is also a slot receiver who has been hampered by knee issues. Edwards, who led the nation with 20 touchdown catches last season, finished his first NFL preseason with a 7/49/1 line, seeing significant first-team reps. He's a stash-and-see option for deep leaguers.

Lions UDFA WR Patrick Edwards has four catches for 16 yards through three preseason games.
Edwards has been better in practices than in games. He remains the favorite to step right in as the No. 4 wideout, a role that could eventually get him on the fantasy radar. No. 3 man Ryan Broyles continues to have some lingering knee issues. Edwards is a name to stash away for later in the season.

MLive.com considers Patrick Edwards the early favorite to win the Lions' No. 4 receiver job.
Edwards impressed the Lions coaching staff during offseason workouts and is competing with Mike Thomas, Kris Durham, and sixth-round pick Corey Fuller for a spot on the 53-man roster. After spending his entire rookie year on practice squad, Edwards is also a candidate to make the team as a returner this season.

Mon Jul 15 201311:24Edwards more likely than Thomas for spot?
MLive.com considers Lions WR Patrick Edwards more likely to crack the 53-man roster than Mike Thomas and Kris Durham.
Per reporter Justin Rogers, Edwards turned heads in OTAs by running crisp routes, gaining consistent separation and "catching nearly everything thrown his way." The Detroit Free Press reported in late May that Edwards had been lighting up OTAs. A 2012 undrafted free agent, Edwards is a name to file away in Dynasty leagues after spending his entire rookie year on the practice squad.
