Texans DE David Hunter is out for the season after tearing ligaments in his left foot during Thursday's practice.

Hunter was just signed off the practice squad Tuesday. An undrafted rookie out of Houston, Hunter had a legitimate opportunity at playing time after Tim Jamison's Achilles' tear. Hunter will now be placed on injured reserve.
