Bellamy snatched six of eight targets Sunday for 31 yards in Sunday's win over the Chiefs.
The absences of Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (ankle) paved the way for Bellamy to enter the starting lineup for the second time this season. Despite the decent target volume, Bellamy failed to come through with many notable plays, as his biggest gain on the afternoon went for just eight yards. Even when the Bears' receiving corps finds itself at full health, Bellamy should still remain active due to the contributions he offers on special teams, but for fantasy purposes, his upside appears fairly limited.

Bellamy is likely in line to enter the starting lineup Sunday against the Chiefs with both Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (ankle) inactive.
Bellamy opened the season as the Bears' No. 4 receiver and as a key cog on the team's special teams units, but the rash of injuries will likely force him into a more prominent role than the team desires. Receiver Marquess Wilson, tight end Martellus Bennett, and running back Matt Forte still figure to dominate the targets in Sunday's game, but Bellamy figures to see involvement if quarterback Jay Cutler elects to take any chances with the deep ball. Bellamy has just one catch on the season, but it went for a 48-yard touchdown in the Week 2 loss to the Cardinals.

Bellamy caught no passes on three targets in Sunday's 22-20 win over the Raiders.
Bellamy has seen five targets over the last two weeks while working as the Bears' No. 3 receiver, but has failed to log a catch since his 48-yard catch-and-run touchdown in Week 2 against the Cardinals. With Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) due to return to action as soon as this Sunday against the Chiefs, Bellamy's already minimal offensive role will only become smaller.

Bellamy reeled in one of his two targets for a 48-yard touchdown reception in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
Bellamy was elevated to the No. 3 spot on the depth chart for the game while Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) sat out, but aside for the first-quarter strike from quarterback Jay Cutler, the receiver wasn't an active part of the offensive game plan. The Bears primarily kept Bellamy on the 53-man roster for his special teams prowess, so even if Jeffery misses further time, look for Martellus Bennett, Eddie Royal, Marquess Wilson, and Matt Forte to simply pick up more volume rather than allowing another option to emerge as a factor.

Bellamy claimed a spot on the Bears' 53-man roster after final cuts were announced Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Bellamy was one of the few wide receivers to stay healthy throughout training camp, and that along with his ability to contribute on special teams was likely most instrumental in his making the offense. The Bears could seek to waive Bellamy once its receiving corps returns closer to full health, so it's difficult to envision him attaining much of a role offensively.

Bellamy suited up for the final three games of the season for the Bears, playing exclusively on special teams.
Bellamy was added from the practice following Brandon Marshall's season-ending ribs injury, but never factored into the team's offensive plans. With a new GM and coach set to comprise the Bears' brain trust in 2015, there's no guarantee that Bellamy, an impending free agent, will be brought back even as a camp body.

Bellamy has been promoted to the Bears' active roster, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
As was fellow receiver Chris Williams, moves designed to bolster the team's Week 2 wideout depth, with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery both listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, and Josh Morgan doubtful.
Sun Aug 31 201409:43Bellamy waived by Bears on Saturday
Bellamy was waived by the Bears on Saturday, ESPN.com's Michael C. Wright reports.
Bellamy gave himself a glimmer of hope for claiming a spot on the 53-man roster by catching four passes for 78 yards in the preseason finale, but it wasn't enough for him to climb above Josh Morgan, Santonio Holmes and Micheal Spurlock for backup receiving duties. He might attract interest from another organization that isn't as deep at receiver.

Bellamy was the standout performer of the Bears' receiving corps in Thursday's preseason loss to the Browns, hauling in four passes on five targets for 78 yards.
Bellamy looked like he would be an easy cut for the Bears heading into the team's last exhibition, but he made things difficult on the coaching staff by delivering a high-level performance while working against the Browns' starters for a good portion of the first half. In addition to his receiving yardage, Bellamy also drew a 37-yard pass interference penalty on the Bears' opening drive. He's still probably on the outside looking in for a roster spot, but expect Bellamy to at least warrant interest for a spot on the Bears' practice squad.
