Stewart banged a 16-yard run on his first touch but was then stopped for no gain on his second. Starting running back C.J. Anderson rushed 29 times, leaving very little for Stewart and fellow backup Juwan Thompson (four carries for 14 yards). Stewart's days in uniform could be numbered, as Ronnie Hillman (foot) is expected to return in Week 16 against the Bengals.

The Broncos promoted Stewart from the practice squad Saturday, the Denver Post's Mike Klis reports.
With both Montee ball and Ronnie Hillman out with injuries, Denver will slot Stewart in at third on the depth chart Sunday behind C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson. Stewart had 25 carries for 101 yards and eight catches for 62 yards in four games with the Raiders in 2012, and had been on the Broncos' practice squad for the past six weeks. Kapri Bibbs was waived to make room for Stewart.

He carried the ball just two times last season after toting it 25 times for 101 yards in 2012. Ross played 982 defensive snaps at safety but was torched in coverage.

Undrafted last year out of Stanford, 5-foot-11, 218-pound Stewart held his own with 101 yards on 25 carries across four appearances. He averaged a sturdy 4.0 yards per carry behind Oakland's putrid run-blocking line, whereas Darren McFadden's YPC was 3.3. Stewart will battle Rashad Jennings for backup duties.

Now that Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson are both back to full health, Stewart has no offensive role. Goodson and Marcel Reece will split backup duties behind McFadden.

Raiders RB Jeremy Stewart rushed nine times for 46 yards in Sunday's Week 13 loss to the Browns.
Stewart showed some good straight-line speed in his limited carries, so Marcel Reece was moved back to his hybrid role in the offense. Darren McFadden (ankle) is expected to play on Thursday night, so there isn't much to see here.

Stewart will be more infamous this week for playing ahead of Week 10 Flavor of the Week pickup Taiwan Jones. An undrafted rookie out of Stanford, Stewart did not embarrass himself as Marcel Reece's change-of-pace back Sunday and figures to receive a fistful of carries in Week 11 against New Orleans, as well.

Stewart traveled with the team to Baltimore, so this was an expected move all week. He'll be the third running back behind Taiwan Jones and Marcel Reece.

The Raiders are expected to sign RB Jeremy Stewart off their practice squad for Week 10.
Oakland is left with just two active RBs on their roster with Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) both out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. It's also expected that the Raiders release CB Pat Lee in order to activate Ronald Bartell from injured reserve designated to return.
