Wed Sep 17 2014 | 16:40 | Brazill had 16-game suspension from NFL reduced to ten games as ... |
Brazill, who is currently playing for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL, had his 16-game suspension from the NFL reduced to ten games as a result of the new drug policy agreement between the NFL and NFL players association, NFL.com report. |
Brazill was released by the Colts in July after his suspension was issued. The report says his agent is working on a release from his CFL contract when the Argos' season ends in November, but it still seems like a long shot he'll have a significant role in the NFL again. |
Mon Jul 14 2014 | 17:13 | WR Brazill passes through waivers unclaimed |
Ex-Colts WR LaVon Brazill passed through waivers unclaimed. |
Suspended for at least all of 2014, Brazill is now officially a free agent. He won't find a new home this season. Brazill's sixth-round pedigree coupled with his off-the-field woes means his phone won't be ringing off the hook when/if he's eventually reinstated. |

Fri Jul 11 2014 | 14:58 | Colts cut WR Brazill after latest suspension |
Colts waived WR LaVon Brazill. |
A sixth-round pick in the 2012 draft, Brazill flashed on the field during two seasons with the Colts, but was suspended twice, including a full-year ban for violating the league's substance abuse policy in early July. He won't be eligible to play this season, even in the unlikely event he's claimed on waivers. Brazill, 25, has 23 catches for 347 yards (15.1 YPR) and three touchdowns through 25 NFL appearances. He scored two TDs in Indy's January playoff loss to the Patriots. |

Thu Jul 3 2014 | 16:54 | LaVon Brazill suspended at least one-year |
NFL suspended Colts WR LaVon Brazill for at least one season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. |
Brazill was suspended the first four games of 2013 for the same offense. Brazill was unlikely to make an offensive impact for the Colts this season, but his steady contributions on special teams will be missed. The door is now open for Griff Whalen to grab a roster spot this preseason. |

Sun Jan 12 2014 | 00:22 | LaVon Brazill has two-catch night in loss |
LaVon Brazill caught two passes for 73 yards in Indianapolis' Divisional Round loss to the Patriots. |
Running as the Colts' No. 2 outside receiver opposite T.Y. Hilton, Brazill drew seven targets. Two of them resulted in Andrew Luck picks, one of which was Brazill's fault. The second-year wideout ran the wrong route. Ideally, Brazill wouldn't open 2014 higher than No. 4 on the depth chart. His status will depend on Reggie Wayne's (knee) health and what the Colts do in the draft/free agency. The presence of Andrew Luck makes Brazill worth keeping around in Dynasty leagues, but he's a middling option. |

Sat Jan 4 2014 | 20:51 | LaVon Brazill has four-catch afternoon |
LaVon Brazill caught four passes for 54 yards in Indianapolis' Wild Card win over the Chiefs. |
Running as the Colts' No. 2 receiver, Brazill also committed a brutal drop. Brazill has been better than Darrius Heyward-Bey was as Indy's No. 2 wideout, but is going to have to step up in the Divisional Round with the Broncos/Patriots likely to bracket a white-hot T.Y. Hilton. He's a boom-or-bust daily-league option. |

Sun Dec 29 2013 | 17:33 | LaVon Brazill held to 11 yards in Week 17 |
LaVon Brazill caught one pass for 11 yards in the Colts' Week 17 win over Jacksonville. |
Brazill returned from a one-month suspension to appear in ten of the Colts' final 11 games, compiling a 12-161-2 line as a receiver. He will likely be Indy's fourth wideout in the playoffs, behind T.Y. Hilton, Da'Rick Rogers, and Griff Whalen. |

Sun Dec 22 2013 | 18:48 | Brazill drops lone target in win over Chiefs |
LaVon Brazill was held without a catch in Week 16 against the Chiefs. |
Brazill dropped his lone target. He burned Brandon Flowers deep, and Andrew Luck dropped a perfect ball in for his receiver. But Brazill dropped what would have been a 47-yard touchdown. He's the No. 4 receiver for the Colts. |

Sat Dec 21 2013 | 22:25 | LaVon Brazill listed as probable for Week 16 |
LaVon Brazill (foot) is listed as probable for Week 16. |
Brazill practiced in full this week and will return after missing just one game. He broke out for 53 yards and two touchdowns prior to going down in Week 14 and should continue to get the majority of snaps in three-wide sets with T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers. |

LaVon Brazill (foot) is practicing Wednesday. |
Brazill was held out last week with a foot injury. His return to practice puts him on track to play Sunday against the Chiefs. If active, Brazill will work in three-wide sets with T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers. |

Mon Dec 16 2013 | 16:20 | Colts expect LaVon Brazill to practice Weds. |
Colts coach Chuck Pagano expects WR LaVon Brazill (foot) to resume practicing on Wednesday. |
Brazill was listed as "questionable" for Week 15 even though he didn't get in a single practice, so a Wednesday return would put him on track to suit up against the Chiefs. Brazill wouldn't be more than a desperation WR4 for the fantasy finals as the Colts' No. 3 receiver. |

Sun Dec 15 2013 | 11:40 | Colts WR Brazill (foot) inactive for Week 15 |
LaVon Brazill (foot) is inactive for Week 15 against the Texans. |
Brazill thought he'd be able to go, but missing Friday's practice killed his odds of suiting up. Second-year players rarely play after a week of "DNPs." Brazill's absence should mean a few more looks for Da'Rick Rogers, who enters the fantasy semifinals as a high-upside WR.4 Also inactive for the Colts are CB, Greg Toler, C Samson Satele, DE Ricky Jean Francois, G/T Jeff Linkenbach, FB Stanley Havili and LB Pat Angerer. Angerer is a healthy scratch. |

Fri Dec 13 2013 | 13:06 | Colts list WR Brazill (foot) as questionable |
LaVon Brazill (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 15 despite not turning in a single practice this week. |
He's shaping up as a game-time decision returning from a two-touchdown game against Cincinnati. Because Brazill is such a young player -- he's in his second year and missed the first four games 2013 due to suspension -- it's possible the Colts' coaching staff will hold him out Sunday simply because he didn't practice. Brazill, however, has been outwardly optimistic. We'd avoid leaning on Brazill in fantasy WR3 slots against Houston. |

Fri Dec 13 2013 | 11:55 | Brazill (foot) still absent at practice Fri. |
LaVon Brazill (foot) remained absent at Friday's practice. |
Brazill hasn't practiced at all this week and has his foot in a boot. He still expects to plays Sunday against the Texans. We'll see. If active, Brazill will work in three-wide sets with T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers. |

Thu Dec 12 2013 | 14:51 | LaVon Brazill expects to play against Texans |
Colts WR LaVon Brazill (foot) expects to be active for Sunday's game against the Texans. |
"I should be out there Sunday," Brazill said. Brazill missed his second straight practice Thursday, while his foot is in a boot, but the injury is apparently just a "bruise." It must be some bruise, but if Brazill's ailment is truly only a contusion, he should return to practice on Friday and lace 'em up against Houston. Brazill is a poor standalone fantasy option, but his status is important because he'll help draw defensive attention away from T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers if he's active. |

LaVon Brazill was watching practice with his right foot in a walking boot Thursday. |
So much for Brazill as a sneaky WR4 candidate this week. It appears his foot injury is more serious than the Colts originally let on, leaving the second-year man questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. If Brazill does sit, it would be a boost for Da'Rick Rogers' snap count and target potential. Darrius Heyward-Bey would likely remain the No. 3 wideout. |

Thu Dec 12 2013 | 08:21 | Pagano says Rogers, Brazill have earned PT |
Coach Chuck Pagano said Da'Rick Rogers and LaVon Brazill have earned the right to play more. |
The changing of the guard began last week as Brazill (42 snaps) and Rogers (41) played far ahead of Darrius Heyward-Bey (23). That gap might widen in Sunday's game against the Texans. "You know what, they were productive in that football game and they gave us a spark in that second half," Pagano said of Rogers and Brazill. "And so certainly they've earned a right to play more." Rogers is the WR3 candidate as the better talent, but Brazill is on the WR4 radar as well. |

LaVon Brazill (foot) did not practice Wednesday. |
The full details of the injury aren't yet available. Brazill broke out for 53 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, playing in two- and three-wide sets over Darrius Heyward-Bey. His status will be updated later in the week. |

Sun Dec 8 2013 | 18:52 | Brazill catches pair of touchdowns in Week 14 |
LaVon Brazill caught three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns in Week 14 against the Bengals. |
Brazill was targeted just four times, and the two touchdowns were his first trips to the end zone this season. He and Da'Rick Rogers got a ton of run in two- and three-wide sets with T.Y. Hilton. Darrius Heyward-Bey played sparingly and dropped at least one pass. Brazill will continue to play meaningful snaps but is nothing more than a WR4. He has plenty of dynasty appeal. |

Sun Dec 1 2013 | 16:46 | LaVon Brazill goes for 42 yards in victory |
LaVon Brazill caught three balls for 42 yards in the Colts' Week 13 win over Tennessee. |
Brazill also had a bad drop, but he's increasingly becoming a bigger part of the Colts' passing attack and played ahead of Darrius Heyward-Bey in several two-receiver sets down the stretch of Sunday's game. Brazill should be on the radars of all 14- and 16-team fantasy leaguers, though he's not yet a legit WR3. |
