Thu Mar 22 201211:27Bucs release DE Tim Crowder
Bucs released DE Tim Crowder.
Crowder was owed only $1 million in base salary, but the former Broncos second-round pick is a stiff pass rusher who didn't manage a single sack in 10 appearances last season. The 26-year-old's NFL future is grim at this point.

Bucs placed DE Tim Crowder (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Crowder sustained the concussion in last week's game. The medical staff must not have liked what they saw from him throughout this week. Signed through 2012, Crowder should return as a solid rotational end next season.

Fri Aug 5 201114:47Bucs re-sign DE Tim Crowder
Bucs re-signed DE Tim Crowder to a two-year contract.
The 26-year-old Crowder racked up just three sacks in nine starts (16 appearances) last season, seeing more action with the first-team defense than the Bucs would have preferred. He'll battle for a role in sub-packages this year. Pro Football Focus grades Crowder poorly as both a run stopper and rusher.

Free agent DE Tim Crowder would like to re-sign with Tampa Bay.
Crowder has appeared in 31 of the Bucs' 32 games the past two years, starting 13 of them. Still just 25 and coming off a season that saw him notch three sacks and a forced fumble, he shouldn't have too hard a time finding a new home if Tampa decides not to bring him back.
