Tue Sep 25 201218:41Bucs sign Parrish to handle punt returns
Bucs signed WR/PR Roscoe Parrish.
Parrish is expected to take over on punt returns immediately, as Jordan Shipley was released in a related move. Parrish has no fantasy value as the Bucs' fifth receiver.

Fri Aug 31 201223:30Raiders release WR Roscoe Parrish
Raiders waived or released WR Roscoe Parrish, RB Lonyae Miller, LB Kaelin Burnett, K Eddy Carmona, WR Derek Carrier, WR Brandon Carswell, DE Hall Davis, TE Kyle Efaw, DL Dominique Hamilton, OL Kevin Haslem, OL Nick Howell, LB Chad Kilgore, OL Dan Knapp, WR Eddie McGee, C Colin Miller, WR Travionte Session, LB Nathan Stupar, and S Curtis Taylor.
Parrish was just signed early in the week, presumably for punt-return insurance. His release suggests WR Jacoby Ford (foot) has a chance to play in the season opener.

Mon Aug 27 201211:43Roscoe Parrish cut by the Chargers
Chargers released WR/KR Roscoe Parrish.
Parrish was never a good bet to stick since Eddie Royal is capable of handling the same role.

Wed Apr 4 201212:00Parrish at back end of receiver rotation
The Union-Tribune San Diego expects Roscoe Parrish to join Richard Goodman "at the back end of the team's rotation at wide receiver."
Robert Meachem, Malcom Floyd, Vincent Brown and Eddie Royal are essentially locked in as the top four receivers. Parrish will have to prove he's healthy and effective in training camp to nail down a roster spot as the fifth receiver and punt returner.

Tue Apr 3 201218:59Chargers sign former Bills WR Roscoe Parrish
Chargers agreed to terms with WR/KR Roscoe Parrish on a one-year deal.
Parrish can still help a team as a punt returner and occasional slot receiver, but he's played just 35-of-64 games over the past four years. At 5'9/178, his body simply can't take the pounding. Parrish will likely have to battle for a roster spot in San Diego; his skill-set is superfluous with Eddie Royal now on board.

Sun Mar 4 201210:27Bills likely to 'move on' from Parrish
WGR 550 Buffalo expects the Bills to "move on" from free agent Roscoe Parrish.
Limited to two games by an ankle injury last season, Parrish last appeared in all 16 games in 2007, and has just 37 catches since 2009. He'll likely be limited to one-year, incentive-laden offers on the open market.

Fri Dec 16 201111:09Roscoe Parrish hopes to return with Bills
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish (injured reserve, ankle) indicated he hopes to return with the Bills next season.
"I'd love to be back," Parrish said. ''I've had injuries, but most definitely I'd love to be back here with Buffalo and continue to move forward." Parrish, 29, hasn't played a full season since 2007 and isn't likely to receive interest from teams other than as a punt returner. It wouldn't be surprising if the Bills let him walk as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

Tue Sep 20 201114:54Report: Roscoe Parrish out for the season
ESPN.com's James Walker reports Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss the rest of the season with a left ankle injury sustained in Week 2.
We don't have the details on the injury just yet, though coach Chan Gailey termed it "more long term than short term, unfortunately." This should close the book on Parrish's Buffalo career, as he's a free agent after the season and the Bills have a promising player in David Nelson to fill the slot role. Nelson is neck-and-neck with Denarius Moore for this week's top waiver addition.

Mon Sep 19 201116:12Parrish's ankle a 'long-term' issue
Bills HC Chan Gailey has characterized WR Roscoe Parrish's ankle ailment as a long-term injury.
It sounds like Parrish could eventually head to injured reserve, but for now he'll remain on the roster. The Bills' slot receiver, Parrish has been outplayed by David Nelson early this season and could remain behind Nelson on the depth chart even once Parrish returns. He's not worth holding onto in any format.

Sun Sep 18 201122:47Gailey: Roscoe Parrish will be out 'awhile'
Bills coach Chan Gailey acknowledged Sunday that Roscoe Parrish will be out "awhile" after injuring his left ankle in Week 2.
"It's going to be awhile on Roscoe," said Gailey. David Nelson stepped up for 10 receptions and a touchdown in Parrish's absence against the Raiders, and will be worth a look as a WR3 for the foreseeable future. Nelson is good enough that he could Wally Pipp Parrish for the primary slot role in the offense.

Sun Sep 18 201114:08Roscoe Parrish carted off with left ankle
Bills PR Roscoe Parrish was carted off the field with an apparent left ankle injury in the second quarter Sunday.
Parrish hopped off the field after a second-quarter pass route, and sat down in an effort to take pressure off the leg. The medical staff examined him on the sideline, and decided to use the cart. Parrish has an extensive history of lower-leg injuries. David Nelson is next up on the depth chart.

Sun Sep 11 201119:22Roscoe Parrish finishes Week 1 catch-less
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish finished Week 1 with zero catches on two targets.
Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, and TE Scott Chandler were all more involved. Parrish's snap count isn't available yet, but it's fair to wonder if he's focusing more on special teams with Nelson emerging as Ryan Fitzpatrick's preferred option in the slot. Nelson is a player to track closely in fantasy leagues because of his talent. Parrish shouldn't be owned.

Thu Sep 1 201109:17Report: Bills approach Parrish about contract
The Bills have approached WR Roscoe Parrish about a contract extension, a source tells the Buffalo News.
Parrish, 29, is in the final year of his contract and is set to earn $1.025 million in base salary. Coach Chan Gailey is high on him as a slot receiver and Parrish remains one of the better punt returners in the NFL. Getting a deal done shouldn't be difficult.

Mon Aug 29 201116:46Bills get injured players back in practice
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish (hamstring), WR Donald Jones (head), and RB Johnny White (head) all returned to Monday's practice.
Parrish had been out since August 10, but he's likely to remain Buffalo's top slot option to open the season. Jones was a projected starter, but Marcus Easley is making a push with a big preseason showing. White is locked in as the Bills' No. 3 running back behind Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.

Thu Aug 18 201120:10Parrish ruled out for second straight game
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish (hamstring) has been ruled out for a second straight preseason game.
Parrish has been out for eight days now. The veteran slot receiver knows coach Chan Gailey's offense, so the injury shouldn't be a major setback if he can get healthy by the end of the month.

Sat Aug 13 201116:20Roscoe Parrish to miss preseason opener
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss the team's preseason opener with a left hamstring injury.
Coach Chan Gailey admitted earlier in the week that Parrish would miss an "extended" period of time. The hamstring was aggravated in Wednesday night's practice, and he hasn't been on the field since. Meanwhile, David Nelson will work as the starting slot receiver between Stevie Johnson and Donald Jones.

Wed Aug 10 201123:06Bills lose WR Parrish for 'extended' period
Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss an "extended" amout of time after injuring his left leg in Wednesday night's practice.
He's already been ruled out for Buffalo's Saturday night exhibition opener, although details are not yet known. Parrish suffered the injury while running a fly pattern in a full-field drill. His backup at slot receiver is David Nelson.

Mon Feb 7 201108:58Parrish gets his pins out
Bills WR/PR Roscoe Parrish had the pins removed from his wrist a month ago.
Parrish fractured his left wrist during Week 9 and was placed on injured reserve. He's confident that he'll be ready for full participation in whatever OTAs there are this offseason. Parrish was flourishing as a slot receiver under Chan Gailey before going down and will be fine to pick up where he left off.

Mon Nov 8 201016:14Bills lose WR/PR Parrish for rest of season
Roscoe Parrish is done for the season with a fractured wrist, coach Chan Gailey announced Monday.
It's the same wrist Parrish fractured during his rookie year, although that was five years ago. Parrish was flouring in a career-best season in Gailey's spread-like offense as a slot receiver, with a career-high 400 receiving yards in just eight games. Parrish is signed cheaply through 2011, so he'll be back. It remains to be seen if the winless Gailey will, however.
