Bengals released TE Donald Lee.
Battling a September thigh injury, Lee had yet to play a snap this season. The 32-year-old caught 11 passes for 115 yards as Jermaine Gresham's backup a year ago. Those duties now fall to rookie Orson Charles.

Sun Nov 6 201120:39Lee serviceable for injured Gresham vs. TEN
Donald Lee started for injured Jermaine Gresham (hamstring) in Week 9, totaling three catches for 49 yards.
He surprised with a few nifty moves and would have had a fourth catch if not for a defensive pass interference call. If Gresham misses more time, Lee will be worth a look as a low-end TE2 but nothing more.

Sun Oct 30 201120:02Donald Lee gets three grabs in win
Donald Lee caught three passes for 44 yards in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
With Jermaine Gresham (hamstring) a late scratch, Lee was the primary pass-catching tight end. The 31-year-old ex-Packer showed surprising speed on a 26-yard seam route in the second half, but saw just three targets. Even if Gresham's hamstring issue lingers, Lee won't be a fantasy option.

Bengals declared TE Donald Lee, G Otis Hudson, DE Robert Geathers, LB Dontay Moch, S Robert Sands, S Taylor Mays and WR Ryan Whalen inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
The Bengals have a huge edge in this one as the Broncos are missing five front-line players due to injury. Meanwhile, Cincy is very healthy and has no surprises on their inactive list.

Lee will serve as a blocking tight end that can help mentor young talent Jermaine Gresham. He essentially replaces Bo Scaife, who was lost for the season prior to Week 1 due to a shoulder injury.

Fri Jul 29 201118:32Eagles sign TE Donald Lee
Eagles agreed to terms with TE Donald Lee on a one-year contract.
Lee managed just 11 catches in Green Bay last season, failing to seize the job when Jermichael Finley went down. His after-the-catch ability has vanished at age 31, as evidenced by three straight seasons under 8.0 yards per reception. He won't be guaranteed a roster spot in Philly.

Mon Feb 14 201109:22Donald Lee to be cut by Pack?
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel expects Donald Lee to be released this offseason.
Lee is set to make $2.2 million in 2011, the final year of his contract. Considering he couldn't hold off Andrew Quarless or Tom Crabtree after Jermichael Finley went down, that's too much money. Lee will be 31 in August and his best days are far behind him.

Mon Nov 29 201009:47Lee was a healthy scratch Sunday
Donald Lee was a healthy scratch in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
Lee, in his eighth season, has apparently fallen behind Andrew Quarless, Spencer Havner and Tom Crabtree. He hasn't contributed in the passing game since Jermichael Finley (knee) went down and is an inferior blocker. However, he could be "up" next week as Havner aggravated a hamstring injury.

Sun Nov 28 201011:58Lee among Packers inactives
Packers declared TE Donald Lee inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Lee may have popped up with an injury in the pregame as we have no previous word of an ailment. He also may be a healthy scratch. Either way, Andrew Quarless will draw the start at tight end. T Chad Clifton (knee) is a go. Packers other inactives: RB James Starks, T Marshall Newhouse, G Nick McDonald, DE Jarius Wynn, LB Diyral Briggs, S Anthony Smith and S Atari Bigby.
Fri Oct 15 201015:55Donald Lee expected to play against Fins
Packers TE Donald Lee (probable chest) practiced fully again Friday and is expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins.
Primarily a blocker, Lee will do more to make rookie Andrew Quarless an unattractive fantasy option in Week 6 than emerge as a viable starter himself.

Fri Oct 15 201010:09Packers optimistic about Donald Lee
Packers coach Mike McCarthy is optimistic about TE Donald Lee (chest) playing this week after he returned to practice on Thursday.
"He went out there and practiced, and that was a nice surprise,: McCarthy said. "That was one player that was going in the right direction. It was good to see that." If Lee suits up on Sunday, rookie Andrew Quarless won't be as attractive as a TE2 option.

Thu Oct 14 201013:30Donald Lee returns to practice Thursday
Donald Lee (chest) made a surprising return to Packers practice Thursday.
Lee was originally expected to miss at least two weeks, so the injury must have turned out to be minor in nature. If he ends up playing this week, it makes Andrew Quarless a less desirable fantasy option. It's worth nothing, though, that Quarless was threatening to bypass Lee before Jermichael Finley went down.

Mon Oct 11 201013:19Donald Lee to miss a couple of weeks
Donald Lee (shoulder) is expected to miss at least two weeks.
It's bad timing for Lee, who would have been set up for a big role thanks to Jermichael Finley's knee injury. It's possible Lee will get back a couple weeks before Finley, so keep an eye on his rehab. He'd be a solid TE2 with upside as a starter.

Sun Oct 10 201013:25Lee walks to locker room
Donald Lee left Sunday's game against the Redskins with a shoulder injury and will not return.
Lee caught a touchdown pass and took a shot from a pair of defenders. With Jermichael Finley already in the locker room, the Packers are getting thin at tight end. Rookie Andrew Quarless is the third tight end.
Sun Sep 26 201009:45Donald Lee may be deactivated on gamedays
Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel speculates that rookie TE Andrew Quarless could replace TE Donald Lee on the 45-man active roster for Monday's game against the Bears.
Lee has said that he will not ask the Packers to trade him, though a lot can change in the coming weeks. Lee can still be serviceable, but his days of contributing in fantasy are long over.

Wed May 19 201020:34Donald Lee OK with his demotion
Packers TE Donald Lee says he has no problem with his demotion to second string behind new starter Jermichael Finley.
"I try not to worry about stuff I can't control and I'm all about for whatever makes the team better," said the 29-year-old. Lee may need to contribute on special teams just to make the roster. If he does, he'll focus on blocking.

Thu May 6 201009:18Lee on his way out?
Donald Lee's days in Green Bay could be numbered, according to Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Lee is set to make $2 million this season and $2.2 million in 2011 before becoming a free agent. Jermichael Finley is the clear No. 1 tight end, and the Packers drafted the talented Andrew Quarless in the fifth round. Still, we suspect Lee will stick around for at least this season while Quarless develops.
