Manning completed 22-of-35 passes for 266 yards Sunday against the Raiders, but he was picked off twice and sacked twice for a loss of 12 yards.

The Broncos' offense, led by Manning, continues to struggle, as Manning has thrown for just one touchdown in the last two games combined. He now has six touchdowns and seven interceptions through five games, a stark contrast to his previous seasons in Denver. He connected with seven different receivers Sunday, with Emmanuel Sanders leading the way by catching nine passes on 12 targets for 111 yards. The running game is also not producing much, which puts even more pressure on Manning to put up numbers despite a shaky offensive line. He'll look to turn it around in Week 6 against the Browns before a Week 7 bye.

Manning completed 17-of-27 passes for 213 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions Sunday against the Vikings.

After back-to-back games with multiple touchdowns and only one interception, Manning struggled to get much going Sunday despite completing 63 percent of his passes. He connected with six different receivers but only Demaryius Thomas (nine catches on 12 targets for 93 yards) had more than three receptions. The running game was a little better, as Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson combined for 146 yards on the ground, though a lot of that had to do with Hillman's 72-yard touchdown. Manning has plenty of weapons at his disposal but the offensive line isn't giving him a lot of time, which is forcing him to throw quickly and exposing him to cheating defenders, particularly on the left flat. He'll look to get back on track in Week 5 against the Raiders in Oakland.

Manning completed 31 of 42 passes for 324 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 24-12 win over the Lions.

Unable to run for a third straight week, the Broncos relied on their passing game and defense, with the latter once again playing the biggest role in the win. Manning wasn't brilliant, but this was easily his best performance through the first three weeks of the season, especially considering that he faced so many second-and-longs and third-and-longs. He did get a big boost from a couple of outstanding individual efforts by Demaryius Thomas on mediocre throws, but Thomas also cost Manning some yards with a pair of bad drops. Manning will return to Denver to face a hot Minnesota defense in Week 4.

Manning completed 26 of 45 passes for 256 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.

Manning followed his dud Week 1 with a terrible start Thursday night, producing zero points on Denver's first four drives, then throwing an ugly pick-six on the fifth. He promptly bounced back to lead touchdown drives of 80 and 15 yards right before halftime, tying the game up at 14 with a pair of scoring passes. The Kansas City defense buckled back down in the second half, but Manning eventually led an 80-yard, game-tying drive that was capped off by a 19-yard touchdown to Emmanuel Sanders with just 36 seconds remaining. It appeared Manning would have the chance to pad his stat line in overtime, but Broncos CB Bradley Roby returned a Jamaal Charles fumble for the game-winning touchdown. Manning still didn't look anything like his old self, and a shaky offensive line certainly didn't help, but he at least proved that he's still capable of moving the ball with short and intermediate passes. He'll draw a somewhat more favorable matchup in Week 3, heading to Detroit for a Sunday night game against the Lions.

Manning (back) is active for Thursday's game in Kansas City

Manning's availability was never in question, but he'll be up against a tough Kansas City pass-rush after a poor Week 1 showing. He'll have the benefit of a full supporting cast, with both Demaryius Thomas (hand) and C.J. Anderson (toe) active for Thursday's game.

Manning (back) participated fully in Wednesday's practice and is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Chiefs.

Manning's Week 2 status is not really in question, nor is the availability of his top wideout, Demaryius Thomas. The 39-year-old signal-caller will thus look to bounce back Thursday from a lackluster Week 1 effort, on the road against the Chiefs, who were 6-2 at Arrowhead Stadium last season.

Manning (back) was a full participant at Monday's "jog-through" practice, the Broncos' official site reports.

Manning hasn't contended with a back issue in his career, but the injury designation could be tied to the long-term battle with his surgically-repaired neck. No matter, with no impediments at drills Monday, there should be little worry about his ability to suit up Thursday at Kansas City.

Manning completed 24-of-40 passes for 175 yards and an interception Sunday against the Ravens.

The Broncos' new offensive line really struggled to protect Manning, as he was sacked four times while the running backs were only able to average 2.8 yards per carry. In order to try to protect him, offensive coordinator Rick Dennison had Manning work out of the shotgun for 27 of the first offensive 35 plays. Manning connected with six different receivers, with Emmanuel Sanders (12) and Demaryius Thomas (11) expectedly leading the way in targets, and he'll continue to get a high volume of throws, giving him one of the higher fantasy upsides in the league. Up next is a Week 2 trip to Kansas City on Thursday night.

Manning completed 14 of 21 passes for 124 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's preseason game against the 49ers.

Manning tossed an ugly interception in the second quarter, badly underthrowing Demaryius Thomas on a pass into the end zone. It's been an ugly preseason for the Denver offense, but the addition of G Evan Mathis should help, and there's simply too much talent for the team not to get going. The larger concern for Manning's value is the expectation that the Broncos will run more often this season under new head coach Gary Kubiak.

Manning admitted Thursday that he cannot feel his fingertips on his throwing hand, Sports Illustrated reports.

Manning said he hasn't been able to feel his fingertips for nearly two years, so while he had a bit of a down season last year, it wasn't because of that issue. He also added that the thigh injury he dealt with toward the end of last season may have come from dehydration after he got a stomach bug. Despite the issues, Manning is healthy heading into this season, and while his first preseason performance Saturday wasn't overly inspiring, he remains a solid fantasy option with plenty of weapons at his disposal.

Manning was 8-of-14 for 52 yards and didn't lead Denver to any scores on his four drives in Saturday's preseason game. "I thought he operated fine. We didn't help him in a couple of situations. We had couple of drops on third downs. I thought he was sharp in running the group and the no-huddle for the first time out," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "They just have to grow off that and next week play a little bit more."

Manning's preseason debut in Kubiak's offense wasn't inspiring, but most importantly Manning looked healthy and his offensive line gave him good protection. The offense will have time to work out some kinks the next few weeks.

Manning and the Denver offense will get a nice test, facing a Texans front seven that enters the year with sky-high expectations. While surrounded by an impressive collection of skill-position talent, the 39-year-old future Hall of Famer may be stuck with a shaky offensive line for the first time in recent memory. It's no secret that the Broncos want to run the ball more often this season, but the gameplan could change if the offensive line isn't up to the task.

Manning will not play in the preseason opener against Seattle on Friday, Mike Klis of 9News reports

The decision is simply precautionary for Manning, as given his age, the Broncos will want to make sure their quarterback is healthy for the regular season. Brock Osweiler, who is yet to start a game in the NFL, should get plenty of reps with the first-time offense on Friday night.

Manning's return to the Broncos for the 2015 season has been confirmed, ESPN.com reports.

Per the report, Manning has agreed to a reduced salary (from $19 million to $15 million) for the coming season, a deal that was confirmed Thursday after the QB passed his physical. With the added financial flexibility created by Manning's re-worked contract as free agency approaches, the Broncos can now focus on maintaining a strong supporting cast around their franchise QB, who will return for his fourth season with the team.

Manning is reportedly nearing an agreement to take a $4 million pay cut this coming season, ESPN.com reports.

Per the expected agreement -- which will not become final until the veteran QB passes a physical exam -- Manning, who had been on track to earn $19 million, will now be in line to make a $15 million base salary in 2015. In addition to helping cement Manning's anticipated return this coming season, the deals frees up valuable financial resources for the Broncos in advance of NFL free agency.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday that he expects Manning to return for the 2015 season, Denver Post reports.

Nearly three weeks after saying he was "not interested in making this a lingering thing," Manning still has yet to announce his decision whether to return for an 18th NFL season. However, Kubiak doesn't seem concerned in the least, saying that Manning and GM John Elway are simply "working through the process." Manning, who recently underwent a comprehensive physical and received a strong assessment, is set to make $19 million in salary this upcoming season.

Manning met with Broncos officials Thursday and intimated that he is physically and mentally prepared to play at a significant level in 2015, ESPN.com reports.

The 39-year-old Manning recently took it upon himself to get a comprehensive physical evaluation, and he reportedly received a strong assessment. The quad injury that hampered Manning at the end of last season is said to be fully healed. Sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that while retirement technically remains an option, it was not one Manning expressed to GM John Elway or CEO Joe Ellis on Thursday. There is no deadline for Manning to come to a decision on his future, but both Manning and the Broncos are hoping to have clarity on the matter by the middle of next week.

Though Manning (quad) reportedly wants to return to the Broncos for the 2015 season, a final decision on that front figures to wait until he takes an annual physical, which is called for by his contract, Woody Paige of the Denver Post reports.

Per the report, the Broncos have requested that Manning -- who the team wants back -- let them know his plans by March 9. Assuming the QB is on the team's roster on March 10, his $19 million salary for the 2015 season would become fully guaranteed. At this point it would be a surprise if Manning didn't return to play under new coach Gary Kubiak. The veteran QB, who turns 39 in March, is coming off a 2014 season in which he recorded 4,727 passing yards to go along with 39 TDs and 15 picks.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Manning played Sunday's game against the Colts, as well as the past month of the season, with a torn right quad.

Per the report, Manning suffered the injury on Dec. 14, but the veteran QB continued to practice and play through the issue. In any case, Manning's struggles in Sunday's divisional round playoff loss to the Colts now have some added context. With the Broncos eliminated from the postseason, Manning has plenty of time moving forward in which to heal up from his various aches and pains, while he mulls his future with the team.
