Colts claimed WR/PR Quan Cosby off waivers from the Broncos.
Cosby was averaging a decent 9.96 yards on punt returns before being waived by the Broncos, but muffed a number of punts in Denver's Week 15 loss to the Patriots. He'll likely return punts for the Colts against the Jaguars this weekend, allowing Pierre Garcon to focus on offense.

Fri Sep 3 201017:27Cosby says he's made Bengals' roster
Bengals WR/PR Quan Cosby confirmed on his Twitter account Friday that he has made the final roster.
Normally reliable beat writer Joe Reedy ended up whiffing on this prediction. The Bengals will only keep six receivers, so Jerome Simpson or Dez Briscoe will be exposed to waivers. Cosby will hold onto punt return duties; he wouldn't have been kept if Pacman Jones was taking over on punts as well as kickoffs.

Fri Sep 3 201013:19Cosby now in danger of losing roster spot?
Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer now believes the Bengals will keep Jerome Simpson and Dez Briscoe over Quan Cosby as the fifth and sixth receivers.
Briscoe put on a show in the preseason finale, so there's now good tape on him for teams high on the waiver list. Beat reports often overstate interest in their team's players around the league, but the Bengals may feel like they can afford to lose Cosby with Pacman Jones' impressive work on returns in preseason action.

Wed Sep 1 201014:24Cosby expected to retain punt-return duties
Quan Cosby is expected to retain punt-return duties this season.
Pacman Jones has emerged as the heavy favorite for kickoff returns, but Cosby has done nothing to lose punts after averaging 11.9 per return last season. He's expected to make the Bengals' roster as the fifth of six receivers.

Thu Jun 3 201009:27Cosby not ready to give up punt returns
Quan Cosby is not ready to give up punt return duties, according to Bengals special teams coach Bobby Simmons.
Cosby is expected to get competition from Jordan Shipley and Pacman Jones, but there's no reason for the Bengals to make a switch. Cosby finished fifth in the league, averaging 11.9 yards per return last year. He's a good bet to hold down the final receiver spot as well. Bernard Scott is expected to be the primary kickoff returner.
