Zuerlein missed a pair of field goals in Friday's 26-24 preseason loss to the Saints.
He just missed a 59-harder on the final play after missing a 46-yard attempt six minutes earlier. He has had an OK camp, but the Rams don't want to see him missing multiple chances at a game-winner during the regular season.
Mon Sep 9 201312:48Greg Zuerlein now has two game-winners
Rams K Greg Zuerlein now has two game-winning field goals in his two-year career.
Fantasy owners were sleeping on Zuerlein a little bit thanks to an inconsistent end to his rookie campaign. He still kicks in a dome, has perhaps the strongest leg in the league and the Rams' new spread offense is going to move the ball. Zuerlein went 4-of-4 on field goals Sunday, including the winner from 48 yards out to break a 24-24 tie. He'll be a solid fantasy option at Atlanta in Week 2.

Wed Jan 2 201310:53Greg Zuerlein struggled at end of season
Rams K Greg Zuerlein missed eight of his final 16 field goal attempts in 2012.
"Greg The Leg" took the league by storm early on in his rookie season, making his first 15 attempts -- including five from 50-plus. But he cooled off after that and ended up losing a Pro Bowl berth to Vikings rookie Blair Walsh. "Confidence is really big in kicking," Zuerlein said. "And any time you miss a field goal your confidence kind of gets shaken a little bit. But it's just something that you learn from and just keep moving forward."

Mon Dec 3 201210:48Greg Zuerlein the MVP of Rams' win
Rams K Greg Zuerlein made two field goals from 50-plus yards out in the Rams' Week 13 overtime win over the 49ers.
This should snap Legatron out of his mini-slump. His 53-yarder sent the game into overtime and he then converted a 54-yard blast with ease to win the game. He's now 7-of-11 on field goals from 50-plus yards out and 21-of-27 overall. Zuerlein will be facing much more difficult conditions in Buffalo next week.

Mon Oct 15 201210:15Greg Zuerlein misses three kicks
Rams K Greg Zuerlein missed three field goals in Sunday's Week 6 loss to the Dolphins.
Zuerlein missed from 52, 37 and 66 yards out. They are the first three misses of his NFL career. We wouldn't worry too much about Legatron's off day, and the Rams' inept red-zone offense should keep bringing him chances. Zuerlein trails only Lawrence Tynes in field-goal attempts this season.

Tue Oct 2 201217:17Rams kicker Zuerlein makes NFL history
Rams rookie Greg Zuerlein is the first player in NFL history with two field goals of at least 58 yards in the same game.
Discovered at small-school Missouri Western State, Zuerlein is perfect on 12 field-goal attempts this season. His big leg has earned him the nickname "Legatron" to go with "Greg the Leg" and "Young G.Z." If Zuerlein is available in leagues that award points for distance, he's worth picking up this week.

Wed Jun 6 201203:11Rams sign rookie kicker Zuerlein
Rams signed fifth-round K Greg Zuerlein to a four-year contract.
The 171st overall pick, Zuerlein was a historically accurate field goal kicker at Missouri Western State and isn't expected to face any competition for the kicking job in training camp. He'll benefit from the Edward Jones Dome.
