Coach John Harbaugh indicated that Daniels (knee) is a game-time decision for Sunday night's game against the Steelers, the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports.
Daniels thus makes for a risky Week 9 roll, with the Ravens kicking off at 8:30 ET on Sunday. If Daniels is out, or limited at all Sunday, Crockett Gillmore would once again be in line for an expanded workload this weekend.

Daniels (knee) returned to practice Friday, the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports.
We'll have to see how the Ravens list Daniels for Sunday night's game against the Steelers, though the report notes that the tight end -- who is bouncing back from a knee scope -- was moving well at practice on Friday.

Daniels (knee) did not practice Thursday, the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports.
On the plus side, Wilson adds that Daniels indicated that he made it through Wednesday's limited practice without any setbacks, so what the tight end is able to do during Friday's session will be telling with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday night against the Steelers.

Daniels (knee) participated in individual drills during Wednesday's practice, ESPN.com reports.
Daniels sat out this past Sunday's game against the Bengals after getting his left knee scoped, but his presence on the field Wednesday suggests that the tight end has a chance to return to action this weekend against the Steelers, though such an outcome can't be counted on at this stage.

Daniels has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals after getting his left knee scoped, the Baltimore Sun reports. "As the week went on, his knee wasn't progressing the way we wanted it to, so we went ahead and did a cleanup procedure," coach John Harbaugh noted of Daniels' knee issue on Friday.
As a result, Crockett Gillmore will start at tight end for the Ravens in Daniels' place on Sunday, at a minimum. While Harbaugh won't rule out Daniels for Week 9's game against the Steelers just yet, he acknowledged that that the veteran tight end will be week-to-week beyond this weekend's contest.
Fri Oct 24 201412:03Daniels (knee) not practicing Friday
Daniels (knee) is not practicing Friday, the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports.
Offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak said Thursday that Daniels is "fine," though the tight end's absence Friday - his third straight day of missed practice - seems to cast some doubt on Kubiak's analysis. The Ravens will release their official injury designations later Friday.
Thu Oct 23 201416:20Though Daniels (knee) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday
Though Daniels (knee) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, at this stage, he is expected to play Sunday against the Bengals, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Supporting that notion is that offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak said Thursday that Daniels is "fine," though a return to practice by the tight end -- in any capacity -- would no doubt be of comfort to his fantasy owners. Crockett Gillmore is next in line for TE work in the Ravens' offense should Daniels be limited at all this weekend.
Thu Oct 23 201413:52Daniels (knee) did not practice Thursday
Daniels (knee) did not practice Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
More on Daniels' status Friday, but his absence Thursday clouds his status in advance of Sunday's game against the Bengals. Next up for the Ravens' TE snaps if Daniels is out or limited at all this weekend, is Crockett Gillmore.
Wed Oct 22 201416:40Daniels (knee) did not practice Wednesday
Daniels (knee) did not practice Wednesday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Though it's not unusual for Daniels to get days off for rest purposes these days, a knee issue is cited for his absence Wednesday, so his Week 8 status is worth tracking in advance of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Daniels caught 6-of-9 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Falcons.
Daniels had his first big game since Dennis Pitta (hip) suffered a season-ending injury, even though Joe Flacco attempted just 25 passes. The Ravens haven't had to throw very often since Week 1, but there's still been a decent number of targets available, as Daniels, Steve Smith and Torrey Smith have dominated Flacco's attention.

Daniels (not injury related) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Daniels has been solid in place of the injured Dennis Pitta and will be looking to get back in the end zone for the first time since hitting pay dirt twice in Week 2.

Daniels caught 2-of-3 targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 48-17 win over the Buccaneers.
Joe Flacco only attempted 29 passes, with eight different players getting multiple targets. Daniels has done solid work since taking over for Dennis Pitta (hip) as the top tight end, but he only has 11 receptions for 147 yards on 16 targets over the three-game stretch. It probably won't be long before he finds the end zone again, and he still seems to be the second or third option in the passing game, though that may only translate to 5-6 targets per week.

Daniels caught 5-of-7 targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Colts.
Daniels was one of the few bright spots for the Baltimore offense, which managed just 287 yards and 13 points against a questionable Indianapolis defense, after lighting it up in three consecutive games. While he has yet to break out since Dennis Pitta (hip) suffered a season-ending injury, Daniels does appear to be the second or third option in Baltimore's passing game, which has still been solid on the whole this season. Daniels has nine receptions and 13 targets in two games since assuming the starting role, and while he hasn't scored since Week 2, both Flacco and offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak typically like to target their tight ends in the red zone.

Daniels caught four passes for 43 yards on six targets in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Panthers.
With Dennis Pitta (Hip) out for the season, Daniels played the vast majority of offensive snaps, until the Ravens went run-heavy at the end. The veteran tight end finished second on the team in targets and receptions, trailing only Steve Smith's 10 and seven, respectively. Daniels should stay heavily involved in the passing game, as he represents his team's lone receiving threat at tight end.

Daniels will be the Ravens' starting tight end now that Dennis Pitta (hip) has been ruled out for the rest of the season, the Ravens' official website reports.
Prior to Pitta's injury, Daniels had been playing more than half of the offensive snaps as one of the league's more involved No. 2 tight ends. Daniels figures to see a significant increase in targets, as he will play quite a few more snaps, with a lower percentage of those snaps coming in formations that favor the running game. Daniels has a history with Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, who was the Texans' head coach for the veteran tight end's entire eight-year run in Houston. While that relationship will likely work in Daniels' favor, fantasy owners should still expect a bit less production than what Pitta would have provided. Also worth keeping in mind is Daniels' injury history, as he's missed 26 games since the start of the 2009 season.

Daniels' teammate Dennis Pitta suffered a potentially serious hip injury during Sunday's 23-21 win over the Browns, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports.
One week after scoring a pair of touchdowns, Daniels appears to have seen his fantasy value rise, despite catching just one pass for eight yards on one target. With Pitta suffering a dislocated hip at the least, Daniels is set to take over as the team's top tight end, possibly for the rest of the season. He's been doing a nice job as the No. 2 tight end, and while he probably won't match Pitta's expected production, Daniels should see quite a few looks from Joe Flacco.

Daniels hauled in all five of his targets for 28 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 26-6 win over the Bengals.
Both touchdowns came on play-action passes at the goal line, with Daniels breaking completely free for a pair of easy scores. He also added some tough catches over the middle, looking surprisingly spry for a second straight week. The Ravens primarily worked out of two-TE formations, rarely using a fullback, and only using three-wide sets on obvious passing downs. As encouraging as all that was for Daniels' fantasy prospects, he's still only worth considering in deep leagues, as he's the clear second fiddle to Dennis Pitta.

Daniels caught four passes for 34 yards on five targets in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Bengals
Daniels' five targets were sixth-most on the team in a game that saw Joe Flacco attempt 62 passes. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Dennis Pitta tied Steve Smith for the team lead with 15 targets. Daniels played most of his snaps with Pitta also on the field, sometimes with both players tight to the formation, and other times with Pitta out wide or in the slot. Daniels should see more looks than your average No. 2 tight end, but he doesn't seem to be much of a threat to Pitta.
Sat Aug 30 201413:16Daniels (leg) will be ready for start of regular season
Daniels (leg) will be ready for the start of the regular season, the Ravens' official website reports.
Daniels missed about one week of practice due to swelling and fatigue in his legs, but he returned on a limited basis Monday, and should be fine for next Sunday's opener against the Bengals. Though the Ravens are expected to use plenty of two-TE sets, Daniels may find targets hard to come by as the clear-cut No. 2 tight end behind Dennis Pitta.
Mon Aug 25 201417:34Daniels (leg) returned to practice on limited basis Monday
Daniels (leg) returned to practice on a limited basis Monday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Daniels, who missed the Ravens' past two preseason games with leg soreness, remains in the team's plans, per coach John Harbaugh, but at this stage the veteran TE does not seem like a major threat to Dennis Pitta's targets/fantasy prospects.
