Wed Aug 8 201220:30Binns the favorite for Bengals No. 2 WR?
After visiting Bengals camp, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco believes Armon Binns is the "early favorite" to start opposite A.J. Green.
"He might not have the speed (Jerome) Simpson had, but he at least knows where to go," writes Prisco. Although Brandon Tate is listed first on the depth chart, he's been sidelined by a hamstring injury for most of camp, leaving an opening for Binns. We wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals use a rotation of Binns, Tate and rookies Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones throughout the season.

Tue Jul 17 201218:15Binns caught 'everything thrown his way'
Bengals WR Armon Binns "caught just about everything thrown his way" in minicamp and OTAs.
Binns and Brandon Tate saw most of the action with the first-team offense opposite A.J. Green in spring practices. A coaching staff favorite, Binns has "put himself in position to make a leap this season," according to Fox Sports Ohio. He'll have to beat out Tate and third-rounder Mohamed Sanu in training camp.

Tue May 29 201221:47Armon Binns standing out at Bengals OTAs
The Cincinnati Enquirer identifies second-year WR Armon Binns as a player who has stood out in Bengals OTAs.
The Enquirer joins Bengals.com and the Bengals' coaching staff in listing Binns as a player who has turned heads this spring. Plenty of players stand out in non-contact, pad-free practices, of course. Nevertheless, Binns will be a player to monitor as the Bengals' jumbled receiver corps sorts itself out during the preseason.

Tue May 29 201215:05Bengals continue to praise WR Binns
The Bengals coaching staff continues to single out second-year WR Armon Binns for praise.
Coordinator Jay Gruden called the former University of Cincinnati star "awesome" on Tuesday, indicating it's a close call right now between Binns and Brandon Tate for the No. 2 receiver job. Rookies Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones are expected to enter the mix by training camp, though Binns is emerging as a player to watch.

Sun May 13 201219:00Armon Binns favorite for Bengals' No. 2 job?
The Bengals' website suggests Armon Binns may still be the "leader in the clubhouse" for the team's No. 2 receiver job.
Binns participated in rookie minicamp, holding his own, and he'll compete to fend off third- and fifth-round picks Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones, respectively. If the Bengals are looking to directly replace outgoing "X" receiver Jerome Simpson, though, Jones will probably be their best bet because he runs the best routes and has the best speed. Binns is less assured of a roster spot.

Sun Apr 1 201212:17Coaching staff likes WR Armon Binns
Coach Marvin Lewis revealed that his offensive coaching staff pushed to get WR Armon Binns on the field late last season.
Binns spent the majority of the season on the Bengals' practice squad after surprisingly going undrafted out of the University of Cincinnati. While Binns is unlikely to make a substantial 2012 impact, he's a name to stash in deep Dynasty leagues considering the dearth of established receivers in the Queen City.

Fri Sep 2 201113:56Jaguars waive four
Jaguars waived WR Armon Binns, DT Andrew Lewis, LB Scott Lutrus, and WR Dontrelle Inman.
Binns, a former UC Bearcat, may have the best shot at the practice squad berth in this group after a solid showing in camp and the practice. All four of the above were undrafted rookies. Lutrus played college ball at Connecticut.
