Mon Aug 512:36Jimmy Lambert Dealing With Shoulder Strain
Chicago White Sox right-hander Jimmy Lambert (shoulder) threw in another minor-league rehab game in Arizona on July 23, but he was returned from his rehab assignment on Saturday due to a right-shoulder strain. Lambert visited with Dr. Neal ElAttrache during spring training for a second opinion on his shoulder and was able to avoid surgery. He was put on the 60-day injured list on March 28 and started a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on July 19. With more shoulder problems, the 29-year-old is now firmly in jeopardy of missing the entire 2024 campaign. In his fourth season with Chicago last year, Lambert picked up his first career save but also had a 5.26 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 41 strikeouts and 20 walks in 37 2/3 innings over 35 appearances (one start).

Fri Jul 1922:52Jimmy Lambert Begins Rehab Assignment
Chicago White Sox right-hander Jimmy Lambert (shoulder) started a minor-league rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Friday. Lambert has yet to pitch for the White Sox in 2024 after being sidelined with shoulder discomfort way back in spring training. The 29-year-old is officially dealing with a rotator-cuff strain in his shoulder but appears to be getting close to making his season debut for the last-place White Sox. Because of how long he's been out, though, don't be surprised if he's not activated from the injured list until August. It's hard to imagine Lambert overtaking Michael Kopech for the closer's role in Chicago once he's healthy, so fantasy managers should continue to ignore him for now. The former fifth-rounder in 2016 out of Fresno State had his first career save in 2023 while also posting a rough 5.26 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 41 K's and 20 walks in 37 2/3 innings pitched.

Thu Feb 2916:22Jimmy Lambert, Joe Barlow Dealing With Shoulder Soreness
Chicago White Sox relief pitchers Jimmy Lambert and Joe Barlow are both dealing with shoulder soreness in camp. Lambert will be sideline for 10 to 14 days, while Barlow could be out even longer. Lambert has not pitched since making his Cactus League debut on Feb. 25 and is going to be out for some time. Both Lambert, 29, and Barlow, 28, will most likely open the 2024 regular season on the injured list, which is more bad news for an already bad and shallow White Sox bullpen. Lambert picked up his first career save for the Pale Hose in 2023 in his fourth year with the team, but he also had a 5.26 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 20 walks and 41 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings over 35 appearances (one start). Neither Lambert nor Barlow are worthy of fantasy consideration.

Mon May 22 202311:59Jimmy Lambert Serving As Opener On Monday
Chicago White Sox right-hander Jimmy Lambert will get the ball on Monday against the Cleveland Guardians on the road as the team's opener. The White Sox will use the 28-year-old in Mike Clevinger's (wrist) rotation spot to open the week. Lambert has appeared in 19 games for the White Sox so far this year, and all of those outings have been in relief, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to go deep into this game at all. In 17 1/3 innings pitched, he has a 6.23 ERA (6.58 FIP), 1.79 WHIP, 11 walks and 22 strikeouts. Lambert shouldn't be considered at all as a fantasy streamer on Monday as the team's opener.

Fri Apr 22 202211:36Jimmy Lambert Optioned To Minors
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Jimmy Lambert has been optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday. He made two starts and held his own during those appearances. However, Lambert isn't need in the rotation anymore with Lucas Giolito (abdomen) expected to return this weekend. It's likely that Lambert rejoins the big league rotation at some point, assuming the White Sox need another starter down the road. He is a decent depth option, but isn't someone worth holding in fantasy formats.

Tue Sep 7 202110:43Jimmy Lambert To Start On Tuesday
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Jimmy Lambert will take the mound against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday. He has not been reliable this season, so fantasy managers shouldn't use him as a streaming option. Lambert has allowed eight runs over eight innings this season. The White Sox rotation is banged up right now, so they might have to trust Lambert with some innings down the stretch.

Sun Aug 1 202111:19Billy Hamilton Heads To IL, Jimmy Lambert Recalled
Chicago White Sox outfielder Billy Hamilton (oblique) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive July 31. The switch-hitting speedy outfielder has been below average with the bat during his time in Chicago. His absence won't make much of an impact in the lineup. In the meantime, Jimmy Lambert has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte. The right-hander pitcher has a small sample size with the White Sox this season and won't be worth rostering in fantasy formats.

Mon May 31 202112:25White Sox place RHP Kopech on injured list, Lambert recalled
CLEVELAND (AP) — The Chicago White Sox placed pitcher Michael Kopech on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring on Monday. The team also recalled right-hander Jimmy Lambert from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as the club's 27th man for its doubleheader against the Indians. Chicago leads the AL Central by 3 1/2 games over Cleveland. Kopech, who is 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA in three starts and 13 games, had been on the bereavement list last week. The 25-year-old's stint on the injured list is retroactive to May 28. The 26-year-old Lambert had a 7.71 ERA in five starts with Charlotte. He has worked three innings or less in all five outings. However, he has recorded five or more strikeouts in three of those games. Lambert made his first two career appearances with Chicago last season before being placed on the injured list on July 29 with a right forearm strain. ___ More AP MLB: https://apnews.com/tag/MLB and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports
