Thu Aug 2918:07Enoli Paredes Has "A Ways To Go" In His Rehab
Milwaukee Brewers right-handed reliever Enoli Paredes (forearm), who has been sidelined since July 2 with right-forearm tendinitis, still has "a ways to go" in his rehab, according to manager Pat Murphy. Paredes was moved from High-A Wisconsin to Triple-A Nashville on Aug. 22 and started to work out of the Sounds' bullpen. He was then moved to the 60-day injured list on Aug. 11 and is eligible to return on Sept. 1, although it doesn't sound like he'll be back by this Sunday. The 28-year-old Dominican began the year as an option for saves in Milwaukee's bullpen with Devin Williams hurt, and he picked up his first career save while allowing only two earned runs with eight walks and 12 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings before being sent to the minors to work on his command. Paredes could be an interesting late-inning arm for the Brewers down the road, but that probably won't come again until 2025.

Thu Aug 1512:24Enoli Paredes To Start Rehab Assignment On Friday
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander reliever Enoli Paredes (forearm) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin on Friday. Paredes is finally ready to resume pitching in games after being sidelined since early July with tendinitis in his right forearm. The 28-year-old opened the year as one of the candidates to earn saves in Milwaukee with regular closer Devin Williams (back) out for the entire first half of the season. Paredes picked up his first career save and gave up only two earned runs in his 16 2/3 innings out of the bullpen, but he also walked eight batters and was eventually sent down. Because he's on the 60-day injured list, he isn't eligible to return until early September. And now that Williams is back and Trevor Megill (back) is on the cusp of a return as well, Paredes isn't going to be much of an option for saves down the stretch.

Wed Jul 318:37Enoli Paredes Placed On 15-Day Injured List
Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Enoli Paredes (forearm) has been placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday. This is a tough blow to the Brewers bullpen considering how impressive Paredes has looked this season. He holds a 1.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 12/8 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings this season. The severity of the issue is unknown, so the Brewers should give an update on his timetable soon. In a corresponding move, right-hander Janson Junk has been recalled to take his spot in the bullpen.
