Fri Jun 1408:55Tanner Banks Locks Down Second Save
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Tanner Banks earned his second save of the season in an extra-innings contest versus the Seattle Mariners. Banks came on in the bottom of the 10th inning to lock down the victory and sent Tyler Locklear and Josh Rojas to the bench with strikeouts before getting Luke Raley to pop-out to end the contest. Banks has appeared to be second in command behind Michael Kopech for the closer job, but regardless, Banks doesn't hold much value without that title and even so, the White Sox save chances are few and far between. He can safely remain on the waiver wire moving forward.

Mon Apr 812:17Tanner Banks To Serve As Opener On Monday
Chicago White Sox left-hander Tanner Banks is set to serve as the team's opener on Monday against the Guardians in Cleveland for the series opener. With Mike Clevinger yet to make his 2024 debut after signing late in spring training, the White Sox are being forced to go with a bullpen game every fifth day right now. The 32-year-old Banks will get the nod as the opener on Monday but shouldn't be expected to go more than an inning or two. The former 18th-round pick in 2014 out of Utah isn't recommended as a fantasy streamer in his opening duties, even in a pretty decent matchup against Cleveland. In his two relief innings so far in 2024, Banks hasn't allowed a run while giving up one hit, walking one and striking out three batters in two appearances.

Mon Jun 19 202315:16Tanner Banks To Serve As Opener Against Rangers
Chicago White Sox left-hander Tanner Banks will serve as the opener for the team on Monday against the Texas Rangers. Banks could go two to three innings as the starter on Monday, but fantasy managers should still be looking to avoid him. The 31-year-old southpaw has a tough matchup and will not be around for a decision to begin the week. He's made only six appearances out of the bullpen for the Pale Hose in 2023, allowing five runs on nine hits (two homers surrendered) while walking two and striking out 10 in 11 2/3 innings of work. Right-hander Jesse Scholtens, who has a 2.89 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in seven appearances (one start) in his rookie season so far, is expected to be Chicago's bulk reliever on Monday.
