Sun Sep 111:07Ron Marinaccio Joins Major League Roster
New York Yankees relief pitcher Ron Marinaccio is being promoted to the major league roster. The 29-year-old logged 21 innings of work at the major league level earlier this summer to the tune of a solid 2.53 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a 9:22 BB:K ratio. The Delaware product held an excellent 2.02 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP across 35 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Fantasy managers should expect Marinaccio to serve as a middle relief option in the Yankee bullpen. In leagues where holds are scored, the right-hander could be worth a look as he should not only provide stable ratios and could typically pitch with a lead. However, he should not be given too many save opportunities as Clay Holmes should continue to serve as the ninth-inning option with Mark Leiter Jr. behind him in the eighth inning.

Fri May 19 202300:49Ron Marinaccio Collects First Save
New York Yankees relief pitcher Ron Marinaccio picked up his first save of the season on Thursday, closing out a 4-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He threw a clean inning but didn't strike out a batter. His ERA drops to 4.50 and his WHIP to 1.20. The righty was the de facto closing option today with Clay Holmes, Michael King, and Wandy Peralta all working two of the last three days. Although the Yankees closing situation is murky and appears to be a committee, Marinaccio is unlikely to see many opportunities as his numbers are worse than any of the other high-leverage options.

Fri Oct 14 202214:12Ron Marinaccio Expected To Be Activated If Yankees Advance
New York Yankees rookie relief pitcher Ron Marinaccio (leg) has thrown from a bullpen mound and will travel to Tampa to begin live batting practice sessions. Marinaccio is expected to be activated from the injured list if the team advances to the American League Championship Series next week. If the Yankees beat the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Division Series this weekend, they could be getting several notable upgrades to their playoff roster, including Marinaccio. The 27-year-old right-hander was great in his first big-league season in 2022, posting a 2.05 ERA (3.20 FIP), a 1.04 WHIP and 56 strikeouts in 44 relief innings for the Yankees.

The New York Yankees placed rookie relief pitcher Ron Marinaccio (shin) on the 15-day injured list with a stress reaction in his right shin on Tuesday and reinstated right-hander Albert Abreu (elbow) from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Marinaccio's injured list stint is retroactive to Oct. 3. The 27-year-old Marinaccio has been very strong out of the Yankees bullpen in his first MLB season, posting a 2.05 ERA (3.20 FIP), a 1.04 WHIP and a 56:24 K:BB in 44 innings in his 40 relief appearances in 2022. He will not be eligible to play in the American League Division Series now, but he could be an option for the team's postseason roster if the Yankees advance to the AL Championship Series.
