The New York Yankees on Saturday recalled their No. 2 prospect, outfielder Clint Frazier, from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.The 22-year-old Frazier is batting .257 with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs through 73 games in Triple-A this season.To make room for Frazier on the roster, the Yankees optioned infielder Miguel Andujar to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.New York also transferred outfielder Dustin Fowler, who sustained a ruptured right patellar tendon in his major league debut on Thursday night, to the 60-day disabled list.

The New York Yankees made some roster moves on Friday to address their growing list of injuries, promoting infielder Miguel Andujar and right-hander Bryan Mitchell from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.The Yankees placed rookie outfielder Dustin Fowler on the 10-day disabled list with a ruptured patellar tendon and optioned right-hander Ronald Herrera to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.Fowler was injured in his major league debut on Thursday, when he chased down a fly ball by Jose Abreu that ultimately hooked foul. He hit his right knee on a low fence as the ball went foul. Fowler hopped away from the fence and his leg gave out.Fowler underwent surgery Thursday night at a local hospital.

CHICAGO -- New York Yankees outfielder Dustin Fowler suffered an open rupture of a right patella tendon in his right knee in the first inning of Thursday's series finale with the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.Fowler, who was called up earlier from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and was making his major league debut, was scheduled to undergo surgery Thursday night at a local hospital.Fowler was injured with two out in the first inning while chasing down a fly ball by Jose Abreu that ultimately hooked foul. He hit his right knee on a low fence as the ball went foul. Fowler hopped away from the fence and his leg gave out. Trainers immobilized his right leg and he was removed on a medical cart for further examination and treatment.
