Tue Oct 11 202211:28DJ LeMahieu Not On ALDS Roster
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) has been left off the roster for the American League Division Series against the Cleveland Guardians this week. LeMahieu returned from the injured list from a right toe injury at the tail end of the regular season, but apparently he's still not fully recovered from the injury. Instead, the Yankees will take infielder Matt Carpenter (foot), who hasn't played since Aug. 8 due to a fractured foot. LeMahieu could need offseason surgery on his toe, so he probably won't be an option for their roster if they advance to the AL Championship Series next week. In addition to Carpenter, Oswaldo Cabrera will be another infield option for the Yankees off the bench this week.

Fri Sep 30 202216:59DJ LeMahieu Starting At Third Base Friday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday and is starting at third base and hitting fifth against the Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Jordan Lyles. It's a bit of a surprise that the 34-year-old is back in the lineup right away, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to play every game from now until the end of the regular season next week. LeMahieu will return to a .262/.358/.381 slash line with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 451 at-bats this season. In just three games played in September, he's gone 0-for-12 with a walk and a strikeout.

Wed Sep 28 202218:17DJ LeMahieu To Be Activated Friday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to face the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, according to skipper Aaron Boone. With the Yankees clinching the American League East division on Tuesday night, the team is going to ease LeMahieu into action so that he's ready to go for their postseason run. It means that the 34-year-old might not play every day for the rest of the regular season. He'll be returning to a .262/.358/.381 slash line with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 523 plate appearances over 120 games. The three-time All-Star hasn't played in a big-league game since Sept. 4, so there could be some rust involved as well.

Tue Sep 27 202217:54DJ LeMahieu Could Return Wednesday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) could be activated from the injured list on Wednesday, according to skipper Aaron Boone. The series against the Baltimore Orioles is a possibility, but Boone also said "we're about at that point of, let's go give this thing a go." LeMahieu hasn't played for the Yankees since Sept. 4, but it looks like the team will test him out to close out the regular season. He has been dealing with toe inflammation since the beginning of the month. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect the 34-year-old veteran to make much noise the rest of the way, especially since he's unlikely to be in the lineup every day. LeMahieu is batting .262/.358/.381 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 451 at-bats.

Fri Sep 16 202221:24DJ LeMahieu Takes Swings Friday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) tracked pitches and took some swings in the batting cage ahead of his team's game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. LeMahieu has been on the injured list since early September with a toe injury but his ability to ramp up baseball activities is a good sign. The veteran infielder is hitting .262 with 12 homers, 74 runs, 46 RBI, and four steals in 2022.

Thu Sep 8 202216:22DJ LeMahieu Ticketed For Injured List
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) will be placed on the injured list with a sprained toe, according to skipper Aaron Boone. LeMahieu had not been in the team's starting lineup since Sunday, and he'll now miss another week of action, at the very least. It's another big blow to a struggling Yankees team that is already without first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back, head). With LeMahieu now on the shelf, the Yankees figure to use a platoon at first base between veteran Marwin Gonzalez and Ronald Guzman. The 34-year-old LeMahieu has been a nice source of production at the top of the Yankees lineup this year, slashing .262/.358/.381 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in 451 at-bats.

He'll head to the bench with Ronald Guzman hitting cleanup and starting at first base instead. Mon Aug 15 202217:41DJ LeMahieu Out With Toe Inflammation
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) is out of the starting lineup again on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. LeMahieu will miss his second straight game with toe inflammation, but he should be considered day-to-day until further notice. The 34-year-old has been solid, mostly atop the Yankees order this year, slashing .279/.381/.417 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI, 71 runs scored and four stolen bases in 391 at-bats for the Yanks. Hopefully, he'll return at some point this week. Gleyber Torres is at the keystone and is batting leadoff on Monday against Rays left-hander Jalen Beeks. Torres has just six hits in 47 at-bats (.128) in the last two weeks, but he has 16 homers on the year and will be a fine DFS play out of the leadoff spot.

Thu Jul 28 202216:09DJ LeMahieu Sitting Against Royals On Thursday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Newly-acquired outfielder Andrew Benintendi will be hitting leadoff for the game. LeMahieu has been the team's primary leadoff hitter this year. He hasn't done much to lose that highly-coveted batting order spot as he's slashed .281/.386/.408 over 90 games this season. The Yankees are likely to do some tinkering with their lineup in the coming weeks now that Benintendi is in town. LeMahieu should continue to have a prime batting position more often than not even if he frequently winds up out of the leadoff spot.

Sat Jun 4 202211:08DJ LeMahieu Not Starting Against Tigers
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers. With Josh Donaldson back from the injured list, LeMahieu could see more time on the bench for the Yankees if Gleyber Torres is at second base. He's been hot over the last seven days, though, going 7-for-23 (.304) with a home run and five RBI in six games, so the Yankees will likely try to keep him in the lineup as much as possible. Overall, LeMahieu is hitting .258/.337/.401 with four home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored and one stolen base in 45 games played. Donaldson is at the hot corner and is hitting second on Saturday against Tigers right-hander Beau Brieske.

New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (wrist) will return to the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The 33-year-old missed four straight games due to left wrist discomfort. However, it appears he's over the injury and is back in the leadoff spot against righty Corey Kluber on Saturday. Fri May 27 202216:35DJ LeMahieu Out Again Friday
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup for his fourth straight game on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. LeMahieu received a cortisone injection on Tuesday and should be considered day-to-day by fantasy managers. Hopefully, the 33-year-old will return to the lineup this weekend. With Josh Donaldson (shoulder) now on the injured list, Gleyber Torres is back at second and hitting third, while Marwin Gonzalez is at third and is batting ninth against Rays left-hander Jeffrey Springs. LeMahieu has been decent so far this year, slashing .250/.329/.375 with three home runs, 17 RBI, 21 runs scored and a steal in 39 games. He should primarily play third base when he returns until Donaldson is activated.

Thu May 26 202218:03DJ Lemahieu Out Again Thursday
New York Yankees third baseman DJ LeMahieu (wrist) is out of the starting lineup again on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays. LeMahieu was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday with left wrist pain and received a cortisone injection, so he'll miss his second straight game. Gleyber Torres is starting at second and batting third, while Marwin Gonzalez starts at the hot corner and hits eighth against Rays left-hander Ryan Yarbrough. LeMahieu will return to a .250/.329/.375 slash line whenever he returns to action for the Yankees. He has three home runs, 17 RBI, 21 runs scored and a stolen base in 39 games played. Gonzalez has just 10 hits in 47 at-bats and is still searching for his first home run, so DFS gamers should be able to find better sleeper options.

Fri Apr 22 202200:19DJ LeMahieu Showing Signs Of A Rebound For 2022
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu has started off the young season on a positive note after an injury-plagued 2021 campaign. The 34-year-old has posted one home run, four RBI, and three runs scored while slashing .306/.405/.444 through 11 games. The three-time All-Star is also boasting career-highs with a 7.1% barrel rate, 55.6% hard-hit rate, and xSLG of .513 over his first 46 plate appearances. LeMahieu is a candidate for the occasional off day, though, as the Yankees' tendency to rest players dings their players' values a touch. So long as the Bronx infielder is in the lineup, he should see be a solid contributor capable of a 150+ R/RBI season with a strong batting average.
