Drew remains sidelined with his concussion symptoms, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to play if the Yankees advance beyond Tuesday. Rob Refsnyder will draw the start at second base Tuesday night.

Drew was dealing with an illness that has kept him out for the past two weeks, and he'll now have to go through the league's concussion protocol. Combined with his disappointing season at the plate -- he hit just .201 with a .271 OBP -- Drew's year is likely done regardless of how far the Yankees advance in the postseason.

Drew has not played since last Tuesday, and he continues to deal with an illness. He was tested for a concussion over the weekend, but at this point he remains without a timetable.

Drew has been dealing with dizziness resulting from a head cold, and underwent concussion tests Saturday, ESPN New York reports.

Drew has seen very limited playing time lately, being held out of the lineup for 13 consecutive games, and this appears to be the reason. The club has not yet received the results of the concussion test, but with just a week left, it's possible the 32-year-old's season could be done if it comes back positive. Drew is slashing .201/.271/.381 on the year, and trade deadline acquisition Dustin Ackley has been hitting well in his stead, so it's unclear how much playing time he'll get when he's back to full health.

It seems safe to say there has been a changing of the guard at second base in New York, with Drew sitting in favor of Dustin Ackley for a fourth straight game. Drew has been out of the lineup for eight straight games overall (including Tuesday), as Brendan Ryan has also seen a couple starts, and it seems likely Drew's opportunities will remain limited over the final two weeks.

It will be the fourth straight game Drew is not in the starting lineup, and though he likely wouldn't be in against the left-handed David Price anyway, it appears as though he may have lost his grip on an everyday role. Dustin Ackley, who is hitting .360 since joining the Yankees at the trade deadline, will get his third straight start at the keystone and bat ninth.
