Thu Jun 4 201520:07Lee being examined in Los Angeles for tingling in fingers
Lee is being examined in Los Angeles for tingling in his fingers, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
Lee is having an excellent season for Triple-A Oklahoma City, with a 2.38 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB ratio through 56.2 innings (10 starts). If the injury isn't serious, he could be one of the Dodgers' top options as a spot starter or injury replacement later in the year. The former first-round draft pick is still only 23 years old, and the Dodgers hope he'll develop into a solid No. 3-5 starter, possibly as soon as next season.

Manager Don Mattingly said that Lee would not be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to start the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Rockies, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Lee's dominance this season in 10 starts at Triple-A Albuquerque (5-3, 2.38 ERA, 1.10 WHIP over 56.2 innings) would normally make him a strong candidate for a spot start, but Mattingly had no desire to call upon a pitcher with no prior big-league experience to make his debut at Coors Field. Instead, the Dodgers are expected to go with either David Huff or Joe Wieland for Game 2 of the doubleheader.

Lee has a 2.89 ERA and 39:11 K:BB in 46.2 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Should Mike Bolsinger or Carlos Frias falter, Lee may be next man up for the injury-ravaged Dodgers rotation. His 2.1 BB/9 is a nice improvement over last year's 3.2 mark. In addition, Lee's K/9 has improved from last year's 5.8 to 7.5 in 2015.

Lee has a 2.79 ERA and 26:6 K:BB in 29 innings this season for Triple-A Oklahoma City, though his last two starts have been below average (10 IP, 15 H, 7 ER).
With all the Dodgers' injuries in the rotation, Lee's debut soon appears to be inevitable. He projects as more of a #4/#5 starter these days, but that should be more than good enough to get him a look soon.

Lee tossed seven innings of one-run ball for Triple-A Oklahoma on Wednesday and is now 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA through three starts.
He also sports an impressive 18:4 K:BB in 19 innings. Lee spent all year in Triple-A last season, posting a disappointing 5.38 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, but he's a new man this year. Lee reportedly hit 94 mph on the radar gun on Wednesday and will see time in LA this year if he keeps this up.

Lee tossed 5.1 innings of three-run ball in a relief appearance against the Royals on Wednesday.
He was in line for a rare six-inning save before a two-run home run in the ninth ended his day. Lee posted a solid 6:1 K:BB in the outing and should make his major league debut in 2015. He's a potential candidate to start on April 15 once the Dodgers need a No. 5 starter, but Joe Wieland is probably the favorite for that nod right now.

Lee tossed a pair of hitless innings in his spring debut Friday, walking one and striking out one.
Coming off a disappointing 2014, Lee is set to repeat Triple-A to start the season. A strong spring and good start there should position the former first-round pick to make his big league debut this year.

The Dodgers added Lee to their 40-man roster Thursday, Bill Shaikin of the LA Times reports.
Lee had a rocky 2014 campaign, but he entered the year as one of the Dodgers' top prospects, so the team was unwilling to expose him to the Rule 5 draft. Lee figures to get another crack at the Triple-A level next season.

Lee allowed six runs on 11 hits over five innings in his start for Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, raising his ERA to 5.36 in 136 innings.
With all the injured (Beckett, Ryu) and ineffective (Haren) LA starters, the opportunity was certainly there for Lee to get a taste of big league hitters this year, but he hasn't earned the opportunity. At best, Lee is a September callup, but even that seems unlikely at this point.
Tue Jul 1 201413:37Dodgers RHP prospect Lee hit hard
Dodgers right-handed pitching prospect Zach Lee had his second consecutive poor start for Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, allowing five hits, four walks, and five runs while only striking out two batters.
Opposing batters are hitting .278/.345/.438 off Lee for the season, leading to a 5.07 ERA and a 1.451 WHIP. His K/9 has dropped to career-worst 6.1 in 2014, while his H/9 and BB/9 are both career highs. Lee is likely the next pitcher to be promoted for the Dodgers, but at this point he should be viewed as little more than a back-of-the-rotation starter, which is a far cry from the pitcher the Dodgers were hoping to get when they gave him a $5.25 million signing bonus.

Tue Jun 10 201410:59Dodgers RHP prospect Lee fans 7
Dodgers right-handed pitching prospect Zach Lee struck out seven batters in six innings for Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.
Lee allowed two singles and one solo homer while walking two batters, and has struck out 55 batters in 313 plate appearances (17.6%) this season while opposing batters have hit .277/.335/.432 against him. When he was drafted, he was viewed as having the potential to be a frontline starter, but he has been surprisingly hittable, and is now viewed as a solid #4 starter. He could be up later this season if the Dodgers need a starter.

Mon Apr 28 201414:05Lee roughed up in fifth start
Dodgers prospect RHP Zach Lee allowed five earned runs on 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings Sunday for Triple-A Albuquerque.
The 22-year-old right-hander walked one batter and struck out four before departing the game with two outs in the third inning. Lee had pitched well in his first four starts, allowing a combined five earned runs in 22 2/3 innings, but his shaky outing on Sunday pushed his season ERA to 3.42. He hasn't been missing many bats with 17 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings, but he's consistently generating weak contact with opposing hitters batting just .260 in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Expect Lee to be one of the first, if not the first, pitcher recalled by the Dodgers this season when they need a starter.

Thu Apr 17 201409:46Dodgers RHP prospect Lee tosses 6 shutout
Dodgers right-handed pitching prospect Zach Lee threw six shutout innings on Monday night, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out three for Triple-A Albuquerque.
Lee has been solid in Triple-A in 2014, putting up a 1.62 ERA across 16 2/3 innings while allowing ten hits and four walks. The fact that he has only 9 strikeouts (4.9K/9) for the season is troubling, but his BB/9 is in line with his career, so he may just be inducing weak contact. Lee is not yet on the 40-man roster, so he may not be the first pitcher called up if an extra start is needed, but he could get called up if there is a long-term need.

Wed Apr 2 201411:37Lee assigned to Triple-A
Zach Lee will open the 2014 season at Triple-A Albuquerque.
Lee, 22, had an up-and-down spring this year, posting a 6.52 ERA and 7-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 9.2 innings, but finished on a positive note with an impressive start on March 20 in an exhibition game against Team Australia. The right-hander took a big step forward last year at Double-A Chattanooga with a 3.22 ERA and 131-35 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 142 2/3 innings. Given the Dodgers' history of promoting top pitching prospects ahead of schedule, Lee should reach the major leagues at some point during the 2014 season.

Sun Mar 16 201419:34Zach Lee traveling with Dodgers to Australia
Zach Lee will travel to Australia with the Dodgers and is expected to start in an exhibition game on Thursday.
The 22-year-old southpaw has posted a 5.79 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 5/2 K/BB ratio through 4 2/3 innings this spring. He won't crack the Opening Day roster, but should debut with the Dodgers at some point during the 2014 season.

Fri Mar 7 201419:32Zach Lee tosses two scoreless vs. Rangers
Zach Lee delivered a strong performance on Friday, tossing a pair of scoreless innings in Friday's victory over the Rangers.
Lee allowed a pair of hits and struck out one on the afternoon. He displayed no ill-effects of a lat strain that he suffered in late January and appeared to command all of his pitches well. Even with the tremendous rotation depth that the Dodgers have, he should make his big league debut at some point in 2014.

Tue Mar 4 201412:08Dodgers' Zach Lee (lat) throws in bullpen
Dodgers prospect Zach Lee (lat) threw another successful bullpen session on Tuesday in spring camp.
Lee suffered a lat strain in late January while doing pull-ups. He should be nearly 100 percent recovered by the start of the regular season and could very well make his major league debut at some point this summer.

Wed Feb 19 201412:13Lee (lat) to throw from mound Wednesday
Dodgers prospect right-hander Zach Lee (lat) is scheduled to throw from a mound Wednesday.
Lee suffered a mild lat strain three weeks ago while working out, but he's making steady progress. The 22-year-old had a 3.22 ERA and 131/35 K/BB over 142 2/3 innings last season with Double-A Chattanooga and is considered one of the Dodgers' top pitching prospects.

Mon Feb 10 201417:54Dodgers' Lee (lat) skips bullpen session
Dodgers prospect right-hander Zach Lee skipped his first scheduled bullpen session Monday due to a mild right lat strain.
Lee suffered the injury a mini-camp two weeks ago while doing pull-ups. The 22-year-old is able to play catch and hopes to return to the mound soon. Considered one of the Dodgers' top pitching prospects, Lee had a 3.22 ERA and 131/35 K/BB over 142 2/3 innings last season with Double-A Chattanooga. He could make his major league debut at some point in 2014.
