Mon May 16 202212:00C.J. Cron Slowing Down In May
Colorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron was among the hottest hitters to start the 2022 season, launching seven home runs and slugging .638 in April. Things have gotten a bit tougher for him in May, as he has not homered since May 3, and he has a .286 slugging percentage with 13 strikeouts in his last seven games and 28 at-bats. Still, fantasy managers have to be pleased with the early returns. Cron has always been a streaky option, but he's an option well worth having for when the homers and RBI are rolling in, especially in an advantageous home ballpark like Coors Field.

Sun Apr 10 202223:11C.J. Cron Goes Deep In Sunday's Victory
Colorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron was a big part of the 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run off of Julio Urias. Cron is off to a good start thus far, hitting .333 with a .916 OPS. The 32-year-old is starting his second season with the Rockies after a successful 2021. Across 142 games last year, Cron slashed .281/.375/.530, slugged 28 home runs and added 70 runs and 92 RBI. Fantasy managers who drafted Cron will receive good production, considering his ADP of 124. His raw power and home park of Coors Field should help him reach the 30-homer plateau, and an arguably improved lineup around him will likely lead to more runs scored and driven in than a season ago.
