Mon Oct 27 2014 | 19:04 | Outlaw (Achilles) waived by Sixers on Monday |
Outlaw (Achilles) was waived by the Sixers on Monday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. |
Outlaw has hit the streets courtesy of two moves -- a trade from the Knicks to the Sixers, who promptly waived him -- and is now a free agent. With the Knicks, he appeared in two of seven preseason tilts, totaling a mere 10 minutes on the court. If he couldn't find a place on the wing in the ongoing rebuilding projects in New York or Philadelphia, the D-League or abroad are his likely landing spots in the coming weeks. |
Mon Oct 27 2014 | 16:17 | Outlaw (Achilles) traded to 76ers on Monday in exchange for Arne... |
Outlaw (Achilles) was traded to the 76ers on Monday in exchange for Arnett Moultrie, a 2019 second-round pick, and the right for the Sixers to swap 2018 second-round picks with the Knicks, Steve Popper of The Record reports. Moultrie has already been waived by New York. |
The deal saves the Knicks some cash, as they won't have to waive Outlaw, who's owed $3 million this season, in order to make room for Travis Wear on the roster. The Sixers, meanwhile, gain additional future picks while continuing to cut costs. Philadelphia is expected to waive Outlaw in the near future, and Jason Richardson is now the only player on the roster who was with the team when GM San Hinkie took over in May of 2013. |
Tue Oct 21 2014 | 13:47 | Outlaw (Achilles) limited participant in practice Tuesday |
Outlaw (Achilles) was a limited participant in practice Tuesday, Steve Popper of The Record reports. |
Outlaw is still dealing with an Achilles strain and is unlikely to play Wednesday against the Wizards in the exhibition finale. The Knicks hope he'll be able to get a full practice in prior to the opener next Wednesday, though it remains to be seen how realistic a goal that is. |
Mon Oct 20 2014 | 18:06 | Travis Outlaw: (Achilles) Out Monday |
Outlaw (Achilles) will not play Monday against the Bucks. |
The veteran continue to nurse an Achilles strain, and he'll be held out of Monday's showdown with the Bucks. Continue to monitor Outlaw's status on a game-to-game basis, though he only holds value in deeper leagues. |
Sat Oct 18 2014 | 13:32 | Outlaw (Achilles) did not practice Saturday |
Outlaw (Achilles) did not practice Saturday. |
He hasn't had a relevant moment in the NBA in quite some time, and even if he were healthy, he'd be an afterthought in most fantasy leagues. |
Fri Oct 17 2014 | 13:59 | Outlaw not able to practice Friday with mild Achilles strain |
Outlaw was not able to practice Friday with a mild Achilles strain. |
The severity of Outlaw's strain is still undetermined and will have to be evaluated as the preseason continues. Outlaw's first benchmark to pass will be when the Knicks face the Bucks on Monday and he'll be a considered a game time decision. |
Wed Aug 6 2014 | 16:59 | Outlaw dealt with Quincy Acy from Kings to Knicks on Wednesday |
Outlaw was dealt with Quincy Acy from the Kings to the Knicks on Wednesday, USA Today reports. |
Outlaw joins the Knicks to add depth to their options at small forward. In 16.7 minutes per game last season, the 29-year-old Outlaw averaged 5.4 points and shot 35 percent from downtown. |
Wed Apr 9 2014 | 00:57 | Travis Outlaw starts, scores season-high 24 |
Travis Outlaw made a surprise start when Rudy Gay was ruled out with a sore back and hit 11-of-20 shots and a 3-pointer for a season-high 24 points, five rebounds and four assists in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder. |
Gay's wife could go into labor at any time, causing him to miss more games, and Outlaw could easily find himself in the starting lineup going forward. He's not a must-own player, but if you're in a deep league looking for a guy who could finish up strong over the rest of the regular season, he's worth a shot. Just keep in mind this was his first 20-point game all season. |

Fri Mar 28 2014 | 22:27 | Outlaw hits five threes in blowout loss |
Travis Outlaw hit five triples in the Kings' blowout loss to the Thunder on Friday, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting, four rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes. |
The Kings lacked scoring with DeMarcus Cousins playing just 17 minutes due to foul trouble (and the score), and Isaiah Thomas out while the team evaluates Ray McCallum. This game was out of reach in the first quarter and it's going to take another game like this for us to give him any consideration. |

Thu Mar 27 2014 | 01:55 | Travis Outlaw scores 15 off Kings bench |
Travis Outlaw came off the bench to hit 6-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points in 27 minutes on Wednesday. |
He had a similar game back on Feb. 19, and scored 13 points last Friday, but unless he starts performing like this on a regular basis, there's nothing to see here. |

Thu Feb 20 2014 | 03:08 | Travis Outlaw scores 18 without Cousins |
Travis Outlaw came off the bench to tie his season high with 18 points, five rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting in 33 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Warriors. |
Outlaw didn't even play in his previous game and has scored in double digits just six times on the season. This looks like a fluke, but he might be worth a spot start on Friday if Cousins sits out again with his hip injury. |

Fri Feb 7 2014 | 23:40 | Outlaw starts at maligned SG position |
Travis Outlaw drew a start at shooting guard with Marcus Thornton (hip) out on Friday, scoring five points with four rebounds, one three and one block in 33 minutes. |
Outlaw was terrible tonight and so was the whole team outside of DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas. There is no real fantasy value on this squad outside of Cousins, Thomas and Rudy Gay when healthy. |

Sun Nov 24 2013 | 14:49 | Travis Outlaw fined for $15,000 |
The NBA fined Travis Outlaw $15,000 on Sunday for making excessive and unnecessary contact with J.J. Redick on Saturday. |
Outlaw lived up to his last name and he gave Redick a bit of a clothesline to receive a flagrant-2 foul. He is playing 15.2 minutes per game, but he a relatively high 6.5 points per game. The Kings don't have much of their rotation set and Outlaw could get 20 minutes every once in a while. |

Sun Nov 17 2013 | 20:34 | Travis Outlaw scores 18 points in 17 minutes |
Travis Outlaw (knee) caught fire off the bench in Sunday's loss to Memphis, scoring a team-high 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting, with two 3-pointers, six rebounds, one assist and zero turnovers in just 17 minutes of action. |
Outlaw, who bruised his knee early in Friday's game, didn't leave the bench until the Kings were trailing by 20 points in the second half. He helped to slash the Kings' deficit as part of a small second-unit, but ultimately it wasn't enough as the Kings fell to 2-7 with the loss. Outlaw is averaging 5.3 points in 14 minutes per game, which adequately sums up his fantasy appeal. |

Sun Nov 17 2013 | 17:09 | Travis Outlaw is a game-time call Sunday |
Travis Outlaw (knee) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies. |
He did not return to Friday's game after sustaining a knee injury, but since there is no word of the Kings giving him an MRI, it doesn't sound serious. Outlaw has come off the bench and is playing 15 minutes per game, so he's off the fantasy radar regardless of his health. |

Sat Nov 16 2013 | 17:57 | Travis Outlaw sidelined by knee contusion |
Travis Outlaw didn't return to Friday's game after bruising his knee in the first quarter. |
He stayed on the court until the first quarter ended, so presumably it's nothing too severe, and his absence was surely unnoticed by most fantasy owners. With Patrick Patterson (knee) also unavailable after the first quarter, Luc Mbah a Moute finished with nine points in a season-high 30 minutes. |

Sun Nov 3 2013 | 01:51 | Travis Outlaw double-doubles Saturday |
Travis Outlaw came off the bench for 15 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer on 4-of-7 shooting in Saturday's ugly loss to the Warriors. |
Outlaw had scored a total of seven points in his first two games, so tonight's breakout performance in a blowout loss smells of garbage time. Then again, starter John Salmons has done next to nothing in three games, so it would not be shocking to see Outlaw steal his job soon. If it happens, Outlaw will be worth a close eye going forward. |

Fri Oct 11 2013 | 09:50 | Travis Outlaw leads Kings w/ 18 pts on Thurs. |
Starting at SF in Thursday's game vs. the Lakers, Travis Outlaw led the Kings with 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including four 3-pointers. |
He also had six rebounds and one block without any turnovers in 24 minutes. He struggled to crack the Kings' rotation last year and there's too much competition in Sacramento to expect much more this season -- Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and John Salmons are both likely to earn more SF minutes than Outlaw. |

Sun Apr 14 2013 | 22:06 | Travis Outlaw scores 15 pts in 18 minutes |
Travis Outlaw scored a season-high 15 points in 18 minutes off the Kings' bench on Sunday, taking advantage of copious garbage time. |
The bulk of his points came in the fourth quarter with Sacramento down by 20 points, and there's no reason to expect a repeat performance on Monday or Wednesday. John Salmons was the Kings second-highest scorer with 14 points, Cole Aldrich added 12 points, and Jimmer Fredette, Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas added 10 apiece. |

Wed Dec 12 2012 | 19:08 | Travis Outlaw to start for suspended Cousins |
Travis Outlaw will get the start Wednesday with DeMarcus Cousins suspended for one game. |
Outlaw hasn't started since Cousins' previous suspension a month ago. He remains unlikely to offer any sort of serious fantasy impact and owners in most leagues should ignore a player who has more than his fair share of DNP-CDs this season. |
