Sat Apr 6 201323:18Dahntay Jones quiet in 43 minutes at SG
Dahntay Jones started at SG and played 43 minutes on Saturday, but he scored only nine points with three boards, two assists and three steals.
Jones shot 2-of-10 from the field in a hard-fought road game which the Hawks ultimately lost to the Spurs. Tonight's quiet line aside, Jones is too risky to pick up in standard leagues -- he only started tongiht because the Hawks were missing Devin Harris (foot), DeShawn Stevenson (rest) and Kyle Korver (general soreness).

Wed Mar 13 201318:13Dahntay Jones to start with Jeff Teague hurt
Dahntay Jones will start alongside Devin Harris with Jeff Teague (ankle) sidelined Wednesday.
In 10 games with the Hawks, Jones has averaged just 1.2 points, 0.9 assists and 0.8 rebounds while playing roughly 10 minutes per night. He's not worth spot-start consideration except maybe in the deepest of leagues.

Fri Feb 22 201323:38Jones debuts for the Hawks
Dahntay Jones made his debut for the Hawks on Friday in a two-minute effort.
Jones needs to show he can put up numbers before he gets consideration in the deepest of leagues.

Fri Feb 22 201318:22Dahntay Jones unavailable Friday night
Dahntay Jones has yet to take his physical exam and is unavailable to play Friday.
Jones was expected to arrive in Atlanta on Friday, so it's likely just a matter of going through the actual exam and filing the paperwork. Jones is unlikely to have much of an impact in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Thu Feb 21 201315:18Dahntay Jones off to Atlanta in deal
The Hawks have acquired Dahntay Jones in exchange for Anthony Morrow in a trade on Thursday.
He's been an afterthought in Dallas with Vince Carter playing well and played just 8.7 minutes per game this year. A move to Atlanta could help his value, but this news should only be interesting to owners in extremely deep leagues.

Tue Dec 11 201200:41Jones posts low-end line in start for Marion
Dahntay Jones drew another start for injured Shawn Marion (groin) in Monday's blowout win over the Kings, scoring 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting with three rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes.
Jones had an empty eight points in Saturday's start, and we need to see more from him than just a low-end effort against a team that mailed it in before we recommend him for spot action.

Sun Dec 9 201200:26Dahntay Jones starts for injured Marion
Dahntay Jones started for the Mavs on Saturday and wound up with eight points, zero rebounds and zero assists in 21 minutes vs. the Rockets.
Jones will likely start for as long as Shawn Marion (groin) is sidelined, but tonight's line is an honest example of his (lack of) value.

Wed Nov 14 201219:58Dahntay Jones starting for Mavericks
Dahntay Jones will start for the Mavericks on Tuesday.
Shawn Marion is out tonight and could miss more time, as Jones will replace rookie Jae Crowder in the starting unit for now. It would be surprising if Jones offers any fantasy value, even while starting.

Wed Nov 7 201211:02Jones could see minutes w/ Marion injury
Dahntay Jones could see extended minutes with Shawn Marion (knee) expected to miss at least three games.
The Mavs will likely start rookie Jae Crowder in Marion's absence, but Jones should get a few extra minutes as a result of Marion's absence. However, Jones has no fantasy value and Crowder is the guy to own here.

Wed Jul 11 201220:33Dahntay Jones traded to Mavericks
Swingman Dahntay Jones was traded to the Mavericks on Wednesday in the Darren Collison deal.
Jones wasn't worth owning in fantasy leagues in Indy, and that shouldn't change in Dallas.

Tue Jun 26 201220:29Dahntay Jones picks up option w/ Pacers
Dahntay Jones has opted in with the Indiana Pacers.
He'll be back in Indiana next season and then will likely become an unrestricted free agent. Jones is a role player, and while he's an important piece of Indy's puzzle, shouldn't be drafted in fantasy leagues.

Thu May 10 201219:26Dahntay Jones could see time against Heat
Defensive swingman Dahntay Jones could see increased minutes against the Heat during the second round of the playoffs.
Frank Vogel would be wise to use the gritty Jones for a few extra minutes against the elite Heat wings. Vogel also mentioned using a zone defense, which is no surprise, either.

Sat Mar 24 201223:58Dahntay Jones takes advantage of minutes
Veteran swingman Dahntay Jones scored 13 points off the bench on Saturday, with three 3-pointers, three assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
Jones got extra burn with Paul George mired in foul trouble, and he made the most of his opportunity. The Pacers have hit a bit of a lull lately, but this victory moved them three games ahead of seventh-place Boston.

Wed Feb 15 201223:35Dahntay Jones awful in start for Granger
Dahntay Jones hit just 1-of-8 shots from the field (no threes) on Wednesday against the Cavs, scoring three points to go with five rebounds and two turnovers in 37 minutes.
Jones isn't inspiring deep league owners looking for spot-help, but if Granger misses Thursday's game against the Nets he'll also be worth a look. That is, of course, if Frank Vogel decides to give him another shot.

Tue Feb 14 201222:29Dahntay Jones scores 10 in 31 minutes
Dahntay Jones played 31 minutes after Danny Granger left Tuesday's game with a sprained ankle, finishing with 10 points, two rebounds and three assists.
Jones has played a nice bench role for the Pacers this season, but hasn't offered any fantasy value. However, he could start if Granger is out at Cleveland on Wednesday, making him worth a look in deeper leagues.

Mon Jan 9 201223:26Jones starts for Danny Granger (food poison)
Dahntay Jones started for Danny Granger (food poisoning) on Monday against the Sixers, and scored 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 35 minutes.
This line is actually quite nice for a spot-start but we doubt seriously that Granger could get poisoned by food two times in his life let alone twice in one week. And yes, our tongue was actually stuck in our cheek during the writing of this blurb.

Thu Apr 21 201121:50Dahntay Jones plays solid D on Rose
Dahntay Jones scored 11 points and played stellar defense against Derrick Rose on Thursday, but the Pacers lost at home to the Bulls 88-84 to fall into an 0-3 hole against Chicago.
Jones has been ignored all season but provided a big spark to the Pacers tonight. However, it was too little, too late.

Tue Mar 15 201122:44Jones back to his bench role w/ Granger back
Dahntay Jones returned to his bench role with Danny Granger (strep throat) back in the starting lineup, and played 13 minutes on his way to seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (including a three) with one assist.
And just like that he goes back to being irrelevant in fantasy leagues, but could have value in a spot-start or two if Granger were to ever go down.

Tue Mar 15 201110:19Pacers: Jones will start if Granger can't
The Pacers confirmed that Dahntay Jones will start again Tuesday if Danny Granger (strep throat) can't.
Details about the severity of Granger's illness have been scant, so we'll have to wait for shootaround for an update. Jones started in place of Granger on Sunday and had 18 points, two assists and one rebound as the Pacers won.

Sun Mar 13 201121:07Jones goes for 18 in start
Dahntay Jones had 18 points, two assists and one rebound in Sunday's win over the Knicks.
Jones started in place of Danny Granger (flu) and logged 29.5 minutes. He did a nice job on Carmelo Anthony and went 7-of-8 from the line, but he's a better player in real life than fantasy. Even if Granger misses more time, we'd leave Jones on waivers.
