Seraphin (illness) managed to participate in some portions of Saturday's practice, CSN Washington reports.
Seraphin should be considered day-to-day as he continues to deal with flu-like symptoms. His next opportunity to take the court will be against the Pistons on Sunday, although he'll likely be a game-time decision.
Fri Feb 20 201519:50Seraphin (illness) will not play against Cavaliers on Friday

Seraphin is dealing with flu-like symptoms and is considered questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
Seraphin will occasionally have a big game, but typically there are better options in most formats. Look for Kris Humphries and Drew Gooden to see most of the backup minutes in the frontcourt if Seraphin cannot play Friday.
Sat Feb 7 201517:29Seraphin (ankle) game-time call Saturday versus Nets
Seraphin (ankle) is a game-time call Saturday versus the Nets.
Seraphin could miss his second contest in a row due to a sprained right ankle, which would grant Kris Humphries an even greater share of the reserve frontcourt work.
Thu Feb 5 201519:25Seraphin sat out Thursday at Charlotte due to right ankle sprain
Seraphin sat out Thursday at Charlotte due to a right ankle sprain, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Seraphin has never dealt with an ankle injury in his career, so there's no telling how much time he may miss. In six of the past eight contests, he's shot less than 50 percent from the field, during which he's averaged 6.4 points (on 44 percent shooting) and 3.5 rebounds in 15 minutes. Consider him questionable for the Wizards' next tilt Saturday against the Nets.

Seraphin (illness) scored six points (2-7 FG) to go along with five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes Monday against the Hornets.
Seraphin was able to play through an illness Monday, but played less than 20 minutes for his 11th consecutive game. He just doesn't see enough minutes to be a reliable fantasy option.

Seraphin (illness) is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
Seraphin is dealing with flu-like symptoms and is essentially a game-time decision. If he's unable to go, Drew Gooden and Kris Humphries could see bumps in minutes, as Dejuan Blair is also questionable due to illness.

Seraphin put up 10 points (5-9 FG), three rebounds, and one assist in 14 minutes Sunday.
Over his last five games, Seraphin has averaged 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks in 15 minutes per game. He doesn't play enough to be of use in standard leagues, and it would likely take a few injuries for him to carve out a big enough role for it to matter.

Seraphin recorded 16 points (8-12 FG), four rebounds, an assist, two blocks and two turnovers over 23 minutes in Friday's 119-89 win over the Nuggets
Seraphin played the entire fourth quarter of a blowout, doing most of his damage once the outcome was no longer in question. His season-long averages of 15.5 minutes, 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds provide a better proxy for what can be expected in the coming weeks.
Tue Nov 18 201416:02Seraphin has played 14 or more minutes in each of last six games
Seraphin has played 14 or more minutes in each of the last six games.
Seraphin and Kris Humphries have emerged as Washington's top two big men off the bench, though Drew Gooden and DeJuan Blair loom as threats to enter/rejoin the rotation. Seraphin is averaging 6.1 points, 2.6 boards, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks over 15 minutes per game this season.

Seraphin scored 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 FT) with six boards in 20 minutes in the win over the Pacers on Saturday.
Seraphin had two things going for him in his relatively big game: Roy Hibbert hurt his knee and did not return, and Marcin Gortat was in foul trouble. The Wizard center is getting consistent reserve minutes and has averaged 9.5 points in his last four games.

Seraphin scored 15 points (6-7 FG, 3-3 FT) and added two rebounds in 22 minutes against the Knicks Tuesday night.
The 22 minutes more than doubled Seraphin's previous season high, which was eight minutes in the opener against the Heat. The extra run was, in part, because the Wizards were up big late in the game, and all of their starters played fewer minutes than normal. Seraphin's refusal to miss shots certainly helped keep him in the game, and may help him to earn some extra time in the future. Just make sure to take this result with an appropriate dose of salt, as there are still several big men ahead of Seraphin on the depth chart.
Fri Oct 24 201410:40Seraphin outplayed DeJuan Blair during preseason
Seraphin outplayed DeJuan Blair during the preseason, according to CSN Washington.
It was assumed upon Blair's signing that he would serve as the backup center, but Seraphin made a push for the role by putting together an excellent preseason. Regardless of how they're listed on the depth chart, Seraphin and Blair will presumably open the season as the team's top two big men off the bench, as Kris Humphries (finger) is expected to miss at least the first few games. With Blair and Nene both suspended for Wednesday's regular-season opener in Miami, Serpahin may have a spot in the starting lineup for one game.
Thu Jul 24 201413:39Kevin Serpahin will be ready for camp
Kevin Seraphin (knee surgery) will be ready when training camp opens in September.
The Wizards chose not to release Seraphin to play in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball so that the 24-year-old will have time to recover from a minor procedure to clean out his right knee. Once healthy, Seraphin will join a crowded Wizards frontcourt of Nene, Marcin Gortat, Kris Humphries, and DeJuan Blair and fantasy owners would be wise to look elsewhere during drafts.

Thu Jul 24 201409:19Kevin Seraphin won't play in FIBA World Cup
Kevin Seraphin (knee) will not play in this summer's FIBA World Cup of Basketball.
Team France announced on Wednesday that Seraphin has not been released to play in the World Cup by the Washington Wizards as he hasn't fully recovered from arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Seraphin only averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds with the Wizards last season and will be hard-pressed to make a fantasy impact playing behind Marcin Gortat, Nene, and DeJuan Blair.

Fri Jul 18 201419:04Kevin Seraphin signs a $3.8 million QO
Kevin Seraphin signed a $3.8 million offer sheet to stay with the Wizards.
The Wizards could pull their qualifying offer back, so it's not certain Seraphin will be with them next season. He has been a project for them the past couple years and is unlikely to see major minutes.

Thu Jul 17 201410:10Wizards could move on from Kevin Seraphin
The Wizards would like to bring back restricted free agent Kevin Seraphin, but at less money than his qualifying offer.
The Wizards extended Seraphin a $3.89 qualifying offer back, but would like to bring him back at a lesser amount, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington. The Wizards have a crowded frontcourt with Marcin Gortat, Nene, and newly-acquired DeJuan Blair, so there is a chance they they end up renouncing their rights to the 24-year-old if they can't agree to more team-friendly terms. Serpahin has potential, but only averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in just under 11 minutes per game last season, so his fantasy value is limited barring a change of scenery.

Tue Jul 1 201416:51Wizards make Kevin Seraphin a restricted FA
The Wizards extended a $3.9 million qualifying offer to Kevin Seraphin, making him a restricted free agent.
This is a significant bet on Seraphin's future development, despite his regression last season -- he averaged only 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game behind starting C Marcin Gortat. The Wizards are eager to re-sign Gortat in free agency, so a change of scenery might be Seraphin's best chance to salvage some fantasy appeal in 2014-15.

Sat Jun 28 201422:17Wizards still undecided on Seraphin
The Wizards will have to decide by Monday whether to make Kevin Seraphin a restricted free agent by extending a $3.9 million qualifying to him.
Seraphin dealt with a knee injury last season and even fell out of the rotation, although he's talented enough that the Wizards are expected to pull the trigger and make the offer on Monday.
