Fri Jan 30 201517:08Kelly sent to D-League on Friday
Kelly was sent to the D-League on Friday, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports.
While he has been seeing around 20 minutes per game for the Lakers of late, Kelly has not been getting many touches and this will give him a chance to get involved and find his shot. Look for him to be back with the Lakers in short order.

Kelly moved into the starting small forward role Friday, scoring seven points (2-4 FG, 3-5 FT) with three rebounds and one block in 22 minutes.
It's extremely hard to trust what coach Byron Scott is going to do with his lineups, and although Kelly had some value under Mike D'Antoni last season, it's unlikely he replicates it in this new Lakers' system. He can be ignored in most formats, outside of deep leagues.

Kelly shot just 3-for-10 from the floor, but managed to score 13 points (3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and grabbed eight rebounds in a spot start with Wesley Johnson out.
Kelly led the Lakers, who lost to the Magic Friday, with a plus/minus of 16. Kelly's 37 points were the most he's played all season. When Johnson returns, Kelly's playing time will drop once again. In his seven games this season, Kelly is averaging 11.9 minutes per game, along with 2.6 points, 0.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds. Unless he's starting, Kelly isn't much of a fantasy option.

Kelly started at small forward on Monday, scoring just two points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3P) with seven rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes during a loss to the Trail Blazers.
He wasn't exactly productive, but with Wesley Johnson (hip) expected to miss at least one more game Kelly could have some deep league value in the short term.

Kelly (hamstring) returned Friday for his first game since mid-November. He came off the bench to score two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) to go with two rebounds and one block i 10 minutes against the Grizzlies.
Kelly has the ability to provide threes and assists from the power forward spot, but only if he is playing enough to produce with consistency. Kelly has been fighting injuries all season, and this is only his fourth appearance - he played only 12 minutes in the longest outing of the four. In shallow or standard leagues, it will take a lot for Kelly to become relevant. Deeper league managers with needs in those areas should keep track of Kelly, though there is no need to act on him yet.

Kelly (hamstring) practiced without limitation Thursday and will likely be available for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Kelly has dealt with a hamstring injury all season, but he has been able practice since Monday, and appears to be ready to resume playing. The Lakers will likely make a final call on Kelly's status either after the team's morning shootaround or just before game time.

Kelly (hamstring) will return to practice Monday, and potentially see game action as early as Friday.
Kelly hasn't seen the court since Nov. 16, but coach Byron Scott says that his forward is "on schedule" with his recovery from a torn hamstring. He was originally given a six-week timetable, and if practice goes well Monday, there's a chance the 23-year-old beats his projected return date by just a hair. When that happens, Kelly will compete with Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer for minutes in the Lakers' frontcourt, but will likely be eased into action.

Kelly (hamstring) will ramp up some of his rehab activities this weekend, and if all goes well, he could begin participating in some parts of practice Monday, the Lakers' official site reports.
Kelly will likely only play a limited role off the bench for the Lakers even when healthy, but if the team doesn't like what they're getting out of their frontcourt at some point in the future, it's possible coach Byron Scott could give Kelly an extended look in the rotation. If Kelly were to get enough minutes, he'd be of use for points and three-pointers but not much elsewhere. His stat production is very similar to Channing Frye's.

Kelly has a torn right hamstring and will miss at least six weeks, the Lakers' official site reports.
Kelly tipped off training camp by immediately suffering a left hamstring strain, which has lingered in the interim. While he's poised to sit through the remainder of 2014, he's gaining notoriety as injury-prone following offseason foot surgeries prior to his rookie campaign last year. Even when healthy, though, he may have trouble breaking into a frontcourt composed of Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, and Ed Davis.

Kelly has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game with a right hamstring strain, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Kelly played in just five minutes, finishing with four points and three rebounds before having to take a seat with the hamstring injury. He's been restricted by the hamstring for the whole season so far, as he's only been able to participate in two games before tonight. He'll be questionable for the Lakers next game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, but there seems like a high possibility that he'll be held out longer, considering it's the same hamstring being injured over and over again.

Kelly (hamstring) returned to action after missing three games to face the Spurs Friday. He came off the bench to score five points (1-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), grab two rebounds, and add one assist and one steal in 12 minutes.
This marks just Kelly's second appearance of the season. It was a solid performance, considering the low minutes. It will probably take some time before Kelly can challenge for a better spot on the Lakers' depth chart, but if he does increase his workload, Kelly can provide threes, assists, steals, and blocks from the power forward spot. Given that unusual collection of skills for his position, Kelly can have significant fantasy value as long as he is seeing steady minutes.
Fri Nov 14 201414:40Kelly (hamstring) cleared to play Friday against Spurs
Kelly (hamstring) has been cleared to play Friday against the Spurs, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Kelly has been sidelined for most of the season with a hamstring injury, but will be available Friday. He's participated in one game so far, notching seven minutes and scoring two points. He should offer depth at the power forward position, but it's questionable how many minutes he'll get, especially in his first game back from his injury.
Wed Nov 12 201418:42Kelly (hamstring) won't play Wednesday
Kelly (hamstring) won't play Wednesday, the Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan reports.
Kelly has some potential as a stretch four, but until he is fully healthy, he can be ignored in standard leagues. Consider him day-to-day.

Kelly (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies.
Kelly has sat out most of the season other than the few minutes he saw in the Lakers' game against the Suns on Tuesday. Following that matchup, he went on to miss Sunday's game against Charlotte and now will now miss Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies. The Lakers play again Wednesday, so he'll have a chance to return then.

Kelly (hamstring) has not been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, but it's more likely he returns Wednesday against the Pelicans, Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Kelly saw his first action of the season versus the Suns on Tuesday, but he was back on the sidelines for Sunday's win over Charlotte. The hamstring issue is apparently still hampering him, so it appears unlikely he's available Tuesday, with Wednesday looking more optimistic.

Kelly (hamstring) failed to practice Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Lakers' beat reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Kelly was finally able to make his season debut against the Suns on Tuesday. He played seven minutes in that game, but something must not have felt quite right afterwards, as he had to sit out practice Friday with some lingering problems. If he's able to play Sunday, he'll offer depth behind the likes of Carlos Boozer and Ed Davis at power forward, but it's seems very possible he'll end up having to miss that game and possibly return to play against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Kelly returned from his injury to make his season debut, scoring two points (1-2 FG) in seven minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Suns.
Kelly's fantasy value is a bit of an unknown currently, as he played limited minutes in his return from a hamstring injury. He'll be a player to watch moving forward.

Kelly (hamstring) was a partial participant in Monday's practice and is considered probable to play Tuesday against Phoenix, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Kelly is yet to play in the regular season, but he appears poised to make his debut Tuesday versus the Suns. The Duke product will be a welcomed addition to an 0-4 Lakers team featuring a trio of power forwards - Carlos Boozer, Ed Davis and Jordan Hill - who typically don't do much damage outside the paint. The 6-11 Kelly hit 48 three-pointers in 59 games last season.
Sat Nov 1 201401:18Kelly could return to lineup as early as Nov
Kelly could return to the lineup as early as Nov. 4 against the Suns, according to Mike Trudell of the team's website.
The Lakers could really use Kelly, considering they started Jordan Hill for 34 minutes Friday against the Clippers. If Kelly doesn't start this coming Tuesday, Trudell said it'd be another five days before he sees his first game action of the season.

Kelly is "really close" to returning, he told the Los Angeles Times before Tuesday night's game.
Kelly returning would be key for the Lakers, who are now without rookie Julius Randle, who fractured his right tibia in the season opener. Kelly would be eligible to return in the Lakers' next game on Friday versus the Clippers. If he plays, he'd likely back up Carlos Boozer.
