Flores, 23, is slashing .293/.369/.533 with four homers in 19 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Flores hasn't garnered much major league attention, but his power surge to start the year is intriguing as he hasn't hit more than 11 home runs in a season at any level thus far. If he can continue to hit, he may get an opportunity as an extra outfielder with the big league club at some point this season.
Mon Apr 14 201417:51Flores goes 4-for-4
Yankees prospect OF Ramon Flores was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and walk on Sunday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Flores, 22, was batting just .148 on the season headed into Sunday's game, but his perfect day at the plate boosted his average to .258. Overall, the left-handed hitting outfielder is batting .258/.368/.516 with six extra-base hits and a 7/6 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 10 games. Flores is already on the Yankees' 40-man roster, so it's possible he'll get his first taste of the major leagues later this season.
