Sun Aug 1113:24Ramon Laureano Remains Out On Sunday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (heel) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The veteran outfielder was pulled from Saturday's contest due to right heel soreness. Laureano has a wrap on his foot, so the severity of the issue is unknown right now. For now, fantasy managers should consider Laureano as day-to-day. Eli White will cover center field and bat ninth versus left-hander Kyle Freeland.

Fri Jul 1912:28Braves Reinstate Ramon Laureano From Injured List
The Atlanta Braves reinstated outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Despite missing more than three weeks with a left-oblique strain, Laureano will return to the Braves without going on a minor-league rehab assignment. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues will need to check back later to see if Laureano is in the starting lineup for the start of the second half of the season on Friday against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Sonny Gray. The Braves still need all the help they can get in the outfield with Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the year and Michael Harris II (hamstring) not expected to return until August. Laureano will likely split playing time in right field with the struggling Adam Duvall now that he's back. Laureano has gone just 19-for-105 (.181) with two homers, eight RBI and three stolen bases this year with Atlanta and Cleveland.

Wed Jul 1018:20Ramon Laureano Placed On Injured List
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. The veteran outfielder has been dealing with a lingering oblique issue for multiple weeks. He missed the last 12 games before the Braves decided to give him some time to rest. The expectation is that he'll return shortly after the All-Star break. In a corresponding move, infielder Brian Anderson (illness) has been activated from the injured list. The 31-year-old isn't much of a fantasy asset and is hitless in his five at-bats this season.

Sun Jul 712:05Ramon Laureano Still Out Of The Lineup
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) remains out of the starting lineup on Sunday as the team takes on the visiting division-rival Philadelphia Phillies. It's a bit surprising that the Braves haven't put Laureano on the 10-day injured list yet, as he hasn't played since June 26 due to a sore oblique. The Braves are short on outfield depth with Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the season and Michael Harris II (hamstring) currently on the injured list, which is why they signed veteran Eddie Rosario this week. Laureano's injury has meant regular playing time for right-handed slugger Adam Duvall, who is once again starting in right field and batting seventh on Sunday against Phillies rookie right-hander Michael Mercado, who will be making just his second MLB start. If Laureano isn't ready to play in Monday's series opener against the D-backs, he'll likely go on the IL.

Tue Jul 223:27Ramon Laureano Could Land On Injured List
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (back, oblique) is now a candidate to land on the injured list after his back pain has moved toward his oblique. It's coming up on a week now since Laureano last appeared in a game for the Braves, and he'll likely be out through the All-Star break in mid-July if he lands on the shelf. With Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the season and center fielder Michael Harris II (hamstring) also on the injured list, the Braves signed the 29-year-old veteran for extra outfield depth. He's gone 9-for-35 (.257) with a homer and four RBI in his short stint with the Braves but is hitting .181 (19-for-105) overall in 2024 after beginning the 2024 season with the Cleveland Guardians. With Laureano out, Adam Duvall has seen more regular playing time for the Braves in right field.

Tue Jul 212:14Ramon Laureano Could Return Tuesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (back) has been dealing with a sore back and will not play until at least Tuesday, when the Braves open a series against the San Francisco Giants, according to manager Brian Snitker. Laureano was out of the lineup for the series opener last Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since joining the Braves when Michael Harris II (hamstring) landed on the injured list, Laureano has gone 9-for-35 (.257) with a home run, four doubles and four RBI in a part-time role. The 29-year-old last played on Wednesday. "He's not capable (of playing yet)," Snitker said Saturday. "We won't probably use him off the bench. We'll shoot for Tuesday, with tomorrow and the day off. There is enough still going on that I'm hoping with these extra days we can get him built up."

Fri Jun 2818:38Ramon Laureano Held Out On Friday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ramon Laureano (back) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 29-year-old is dealing with back soreness, but is hopeful to get back on the field on Saturday. In the meantime, Luke Williams will draw the start in left field and bat ninth versus southpaw Martin Perez. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Saturday for another update on Laureano.

Wed May 2917:14Ramon Laureano Joins The Braves
Free-agent outfielder Ramon Laureano signed a minor-league deal with the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. The Braves are adding some outfield depth with Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the season with a torn ACL. The 29-year-old Laureano will most likely be assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett and will be major-league bench depth, at best, if he gets called up to Atlanta eventually. Both Jarred Kelenic and Adam Duvall will see more playing time with Acuna out for the remainder of the season. Laureano, formerly a 16th-round pick by the Houston Astros in 2014 out of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, has hit the 20-homer mark once in his previous six MLB seasons (back in 2019 with the A's) and has struggled to find a regular role since leaving Oakland. In 31 games with the Guardians this year before becoming a free agent, he went 10-for-70 (.143) with a homer and four RBI.

Mon May 2014:59Ramon Laureano Designated For Assignment
The Cleveland Guardians designated outfielder Ramon Laureano for assignment before the team's series opener against the New York Mets. Laureano was off to a rough start in 2024, hitting just .143 with one home run and four RBI across 31 games. The 29-year-old outfielder also had just two hits over his last 31 plate appearances. He should now have the opportunity to sign with any team as a free agent. Johnathan Rodriguez will take his place on the active roster after the team called him up on Monday.

Sat Nov 18 202313:09Ramon Laureano Avoids Arbitration And Signs With Cleveland
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Ramon Laureano avoided arbitration and signed a one-year, $5.15 million deal. This is a solid deal for the veteran outfielder as he was projected to make $4.7 million, according to beat writer Paul Hoynes. Laureano struggled mightily with the A's to start 2023 but picked his game up once the Guardians claimed him off waivers after Oakland designated him for assignment. In 41 games in Cleveland, he slashed .243/.342/.382 with three home runs, 14 RBI, and four stolen bases. He projects to be the starting right fielder for Cleveland in 2024.

Sat Sep 30 202313:14Ramon Laureano Not In The Lineup On Saturday For The Guardians
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Ramon Laureano is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Detroit Tigers. This looks to just be a day off for the 29-year-old outfielder. Laureano struggled mightily with the A's to begin the season but has picked his game up since joining Cleveland in early August after Oakland designated him for assignment in early August. Overall, he's slashing .228/.308/.376 with nine home runs, 35 RBI, and 11 stolen bases over 356 at-bats. Will Brennan is starting in right field and will bat seventh against Will Vest and the Detroit Tigers.

Sun Sep 10 202310:56Ramon Laureano Hurts Thumb, Exits Saturday’s Game
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Ramon Laureano (finger) was removed from Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels due to a jammed left thumb. The 29-year-old got his glove hand caught on the right-field wall while trying to make a play on a Randal Grichuk home run. He went 0-for-2 in the 6-2 defeat before exiting and was substituted for Will Brennan. Guardians manager Terry Francona said after contest that Laureano was doing much better than it appeared when he departed, and that he should be "OK". Laureano hasn't found better luck away from the Oakland Athletics, slashing .234/.318/.362 with two home runs, 12 RBI, and 11 runs scored in 107 trips to the plate since joining Cleveland. Brennan, who's batting .417 (20-for-48) with four stolen bases in his last 15 games, should play more frequently if Laureano needs time off.

Tue Sep 5 202314:34Ramon Laureano Returning To The Bench Tuesday
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Ramon Laureano is not in the starting lineup Tuesday night versus the Minnesota Twins and right-hander Sonny Gray. The veteran collected a trio of hits, including a triple, in his club's ugly 20-6 loss to the Twins in Monday's series opener but will nonetheless hit the bench on Tuesday while Myles Straw returns to take over in center field. It's been a disappointing overall season for the former A's outfielder but Laureano has put together a palatable .256/.330/.402 slash line with two homers, one stolen base, and a 105 wRC+ in 23 games since being picked up by the Guardians. His dip in the power/speed departments is surely a disappointing result for those who took a late-round flier on Laureano on draft day.

Fri Aug 25 202318:37Ramon Laureano Added To Friday's Lineup
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Ramon Laureano was originally on the bench, but will move into Friday's starting lineup versus the Toronto Blue Jays. The right-handed slugger will play due to the fact Will Brennan (knee) has been scratched from this contest. Laureano will cover right field and bat sixth versus right-hander Chris Bassitt. Also, Oscar Gonzalez will serve as the designated hitter for this contest. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly with the Guardians making a few changes.

Mon Aug 7 202315:03Guardians Claim Ramon Laureano Off Waivers From A's
The Cleveland Guardians claimed outfielder Ramon Laureano off waivers from the Oakland Athletics on Monday. Laureano will join the Guardians after the A's designated him for assignment over the weekend. A change of scenery could be good for the 29-year-old outfielder, and he could see decent playing time in his new digs. In his 64 games for Oakland this year, Laureano was hitting just .213/.280/.364 with six home runs, 10 doubles, three triples, 21 RBI and eight stolen bases over 246 plate appearances. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues aren't suddenly going to go and pick Laureano up off the waiver wire, but the move could have good results the rest of this year in AL-only fantasy formats.

Sat Aug 5 202316:19Ramon Laureano Designated For Assignment
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano has been designated for assignment by the organization on Saturday. It appears the rebuilding A's have decided to head in another direction without the veteran outfielder. The team reinstated outfielder Esteury Ruiz from the injured list, so he should get more at-bats with Laureano gone. Through 59 games, Laureano slashed .213/.280/.384 with six home runs, 21 RBI, and eight steals. There is a good chance that another team claims him on waivers. Laureano could at least be a fourth or fifth outfielder on a contending team.

Tue Jul 25 202320:41Ramon Laureano Reinstated From Injured List
The Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and also reinstated right-hander Angel Felipe from the paternity list. In a corresponding move, right-hander Chad Smith was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. Laureano is now back with the A's, but he's not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. He hasn't played for the A's since June 21 and had only two hits in 24 at-bats with 14 strikeouts in his last eight games before landing on the injured list in June. Speed is the 29-year-old Dominican's best asset -- he has eight stolen bags this year -- but he's batting .213 (43-for-202) on the year.

Sun Jul 16 202310:44Ramon Laureano Closing In On Rehab Assignment
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) took live batting practice on Saturday. It's the first time he's done so since being sent to the 10-day injured list with a fractured left hand retroactive to June 22. The 29-year-old could start a rehab assignment as soon as July 18, per manager Mark Kotsay. Laureano is hitting a disappointing .213 with a .635 OPS, five home runs, 17 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 202 at-bats this season. The center fielder's tantalizing power and speed potential makes him a justifiable stash in deep leagues. But Laureano's overall upside should remain limited by the weak Athletics lineup around him.

Fri Jun 23 202316:28Ramon Laureano Goes On Injured List With Fractured Hand
The Oakland Athletics placed outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 22) on Friday with a fractured right hand and recalled outfielder Conner Capel from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Laureano will be eligible to return to the team on July 2 after initially injuring his hand last week, but fantasy managers should still probably not expect him back until after the All-Star break in mid-July. The 28-year-old Dominican has eight stolen bases on the year, but he's also hitting just .213 (43-for-202) with five homers, nine doubles, three triples, 17 RBI and 21 runs scored in 56 games. Laureano hasn't produced reliable counting stats with the lowly A's this year. Brent Rooker and Seth Brown will likely share playing time in right field until Laureano is back.

Mon Jun 5 202316:38Ramon Laureano Gets A Breather
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Laureano is riding an eight-game hitting streak since May 27, so this is a well deserved day off. He is heating up at the plate after a slow start to the season. Seth Brown will cover right field and bat cleanup versus righty Johan Oviedo on Monday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly with Laureano sidelined.
