He's filled in at the hot corner admirably since Josh Jung hit the IL, posting a .290-4-24-30-4 line with a .364 wOBA and 136 wRC+, even more so as of late, going 21-for-64 (.328) over his last 17 games. He is not on the fantasy radar in mixed leagues.

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh H. Smith left his team's Monday night game against the Baltimore Orioles after getting hit in the side of the face by a pitch during the third inning. The HBP was Smith's only plate appearance of the evening and he was quickly replaced by pinch-runner Ezequiel Duran at first base. Smith has picked up one hit and scored three runs in four at-bats thus far in the 2023 season. Look for the Rangers to update his status after the conclusion of Monday's contest.
