Thu Aug 810:33Jose Ramirez Swats 30th Home Run On Wednesday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader loss to the Diamondbacks with a score of 5-3. Ramirez's lone hit was his 30th home run of the season, a solo shot off of starter Eduardo Rodriguez in the sixth inning that brought the Guardians to within one, but they ultimately would not be able to complete the comeback. The 31-year-old has been on base via hit or walk in 18 consecutive games now and has six home runs in his last nine games. For the season, the switch-hitter owns a .282-30-96-85-25 line, making him one of the most valuable multi-category producers in fantasy.

Tue Aug 609:31Jose Ramirez Has Three-Hit, Two-Steal Night
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez showed why he's one of the elite fantasy producers when he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two steals, and an RBI in Monday's 7-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ramirez is hitting .282/.334/.545 and is fourth with 94 RBI. He is tied for fifth with 29 homers and 11th with 24 stolen bases. He has recorded four straight seasons of at least 20 homers and 20 steals, and is on pace to record his second 30-homer, 30-steal season, his first coming in 2018. There's nothing to say other than Ramirez continues to make his fantasy managers happy.

Fri Aug 201:07Jose Ramirez Hits Fourth Homer In Three Days
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his hot stretch at the plate on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a homer and a double in a 10-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He added a double, two runs, and three RBI. Ramirez has busted out of a mini-slump in July with four homers and eight RBI in his past three games, bringing his season totals to 28 dingers and 90 RBI. That along with a solid .278 AVG, 79 runs, and 20 swipes makes him one of the best five-category contributors in the game and an easy top-five hitter for fantasy.

Tue Jul 3000:22Jose Ramirez Hits Two More Homers Monday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his stellar offensive season in Monday's 8-4 win over the Tigers. Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of solo home runs, and three RBI. The 31-year-old demolished a third-inning Bryan Sammons changeup 451 feet into the left-center seats and later golfed a seventh-inning Sammons curveball into the left-center seats. Ramirez has once again been a five-category fantasy contributor, slashing .276/.330/.527 with 26 HR, 76 runs scored, 85 RBI, and 20 stolen bases in 446 plate appearances. He has been a top fantasy pick for most of his career, and that has been boosted even more this season with the Guardians' strong overall play.

Tue Jun 2500:31Jose Ramirez Hits 20th Homer Of Season Monday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his solid offensive season in Monday's 3-2 win over the Orioles. Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, two RBI, a strikeout, and a stolen base. Ramirez crushed a sixth-inning Cade Povich offering into the center-field bullpens for his 20th HR of the season. The 31-year-old hasn't missed a beat and has continued to produce like a top overall fantasy pick, slashing .276/.333/.536 with 59 runs scored, 69 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 321 plate appearances. He should continue to be a five-category fantasy stud with the Guardians hitting surprisingly well as a team.

Sun Jun 919:31Jose Ramirez Collects Three Hits
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez was hot at the plate during Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins. The slugging corner infielder went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a steal in the win. The 31-year-old is now up to 10 steals and is showing no signs of slowing down. He's currently on pace for 30 home runs and 20 steals which should keep him in elite territory in terms of fantasy baseball.

Sun Jun 906:33Jose Ramirez Homers In Win On Saturday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez had another productive day at the plate in an 8-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a homer, two runs, and one RBI in the winning effort for the Guardians. The veteran infielder kicked off the scoring for Cleveland with a two-out, solo homer in the first inning. The blast traveled 401 feet and had an exit velocity of 101.5 MPH. Ramirez is putting together another MVP-caliber season, hitting .272 with 18 homers, 49 runs, 61 RBI, and nine steals across 246 at-bats. He is in the midst of a hot stretch at the moment, batting .339 with seven homers and 20 RBI over his past 15 contests. He should remain locked into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Sat May 2500:58Jose Ramirez Leaves Yard Twice Friday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went yard twice in Friday's win on the road against the Los Angeles Angels, walloping his 13th and 14 home runs of the season. After crushing a Patrick Sandoval sinker for a two-run home run to make the score 4-1 Guardians in the third inning, Ramirez tagged Sandoval for another long ball to extend the Cleveland's lead to 7-2 in the fourth. Over his last 18 games, the 31-year-old fantasy superstar is batting .329 with nine round-trippers, 24 RBI, and three stolen bases as the engine to Cleveland's offense. Ramirez should continue beating up on the Halos this weekend; in 24 games against the Angels since 2021, he's hitting a scalding .353 with 10 bombs, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored, and seven steals.

Sat May 1801:03Jose Ramirez Cracks Go-Ahead Home Run
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez cracked his 10th home run of the season in Friday's win over the division-rival Minnesota Twins, delivering a go-ahead blast in the eighth inning. Ramirez took Twins closer Jhoan Duran yard for some two-out thunder and a 3-2 Guardians advantage, opening the door for stopper Emmanuel Clase to slam the door for the save in the ninth inning. Over his last 12 outings, the 31-year-old fantasy superstar is batting a strong .311 with five homers, 13 RBI, and three stolen bases as Cleveland's everyday No. 3 hitter. Ramirez deals with the Twins two more times this weekend. In 16 games against Minnesota since 2023, he's hitting just .175 with the lone long ball and five RBI.

Tue May 1401:27Jose Ramirez Collects Four RBI, Steals Two Bases Monday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez smacked a two-run single in the eighth inning and followed that up with another two-run single in the ninth inning during Monday night's 7-0 win over Texas Rangers. Ramirez went 2-for-4, collected four RBI, and picked up two stolen bases in the contest. The switch-hitting slugger has been under-par in the batting average department with a .235 average but has produced the power with nine long balls and 33 RBI. Ramirez's days of batting .280 and above may be over. Still, he remains a big-time fantasy contributor who looks to continue the momentum against rookie pitcher Jack Leiter on Tuesday and Jon Gray on Wednesday.

Mon May 621:36Jose Ramirez Breaking Out Of Slump
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez belted his seventh home run of the 2024 regular season in Monday's 2-1 win over the division-rival Detroit Tigers, helping lift his team to victory. Ramirez's go-ahead blast came in the eighth inning, and it was his second homer in as many days after going yard in Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Angels. It's been a much-needed rebound for Ramirez, who was mired in a 3-for-28 dry spell over eight games prior to Sunday. The 31-year-old perennial All-Star is still slashing a disappointing .230/.278/.432 on the season, but he does have seven bombs, 28 RBI, 23 runs scored, and five stolen bases covering 139 at-bats (34 games) for the Guardians. Ramirez will try to solve his woes against the Tigers during the final two contests of this three-game series, as he's batting just .167 (9-for-54) with three round-trippers and six RBI across 14 games versus Detroit since 2023.

Thu Apr 2518:32Jose Ramirez Launches Grand Slam In Three-Hit Day
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez was 3-for-4 with a grand slam, stolen base and two runs scored during Thursday's 6-4 win over the Boston Red Sox. Ramirez smoked a ball to right field in the second inning after battling through a 10-pitch at-bat against Chase Anderson. The five-time All Star is now slashing .260/.271/.471 with five homers, 23 RBI, three stolen bases and 18 runs scored. He has had a more aggressive approach at the plate this season which has resulted in only two walks through 24 games. Despite the lower than normal OBP, Ramirez seems to be recovering nicely from a slower start to the year and remains one of the best third-base options in fantasy.

Sun Apr 2111:12Jose Ramirez Not Playing Sunday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez is out of the team's starting lineup on Sunday as they take on the visiting Oakland Athletics. In Ramirez's absence, Gabriel Arias will start at the hot corner and bat eighth in the batting order against A's right-hander Ross Stripling. Ramirez, a five-time All-Star, has gotten off to a bit of a slow start by his standards this year, going 22-for-92 (.239) with three home runs, 18 RBI, one stolen base and 15 runs scored in his first 21 games played and 95 trips to the plate. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried, though, and he should be back in action on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox after a scheduled off day on Monday. Arias is hitting .302 (13-for-43) with a homer, seven RBI and a steal in the early going, but he's never faced Stripling in his career.

Wed Apr 320:34Jose Ramirez With Two Doubles, Two RBI Wednesday
Cleveland Guardians designated hitter Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Wednesday in an 8-0 win over the Mariners. Ramirez now has three multi-hit games in his first seven, hitting .273 (9-for-33) with six RBI and eight runs scored. Fantasy managers who invested in him as the first third baseman off the board are expecting 20-plus stolen bases from the veteran, however, and he's yet to record one so far in 2024. It's still early of course, and the Guardians are one of the few teams active Thursday, so we'll see if he gets on the board. He'll face the Twins' Pablo Lopez whom he's seen 13 times before, going 4-for-13 (.308) with a triple and no strikeouts in his career against the righty.

Sat Mar 2309:57Jose Ramirez Having A Slow Spring
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez had his third straight game with a hit on Friday in a 10-0 Cactus League win over the Rangers. He's also had a hit in five out of the last six games, but he's yet to have a multi-hit performance this spring and is hitting just .200 (9-for-45) through 15 Cactus League games. On the bright side, he's hitting for power with three doubles and four home runs compared to just two singles. The 5x All-Star typically goes off the board as the first third baseman overall, due in part to his stolen base prowess at a position that is usually devoid of base stealers that can also produce in other categories like Ramirez can, but the 31-year-old has yet to swipe a bag in 46 spring PA, although he has been caught once. Regardless, the 4x Silver Slugger Award winner has been one of the most consistent and durable hitters for eight years now and shows no signs of slowing down, so look for another All-Star caliber campaign again in 2024.

Wed Feb 2113:25Jose Ramirez Could Hit Second This Year
Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said he's talked to All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez about hitting second and third in the lineup this year. Ramirez has traditionally hit third but moved into the No. 2 spot last year to try and help the team's struggling offense. Either way, Ramirez is going to hit near the top of Cleveland's batting order, and it's probably not going to affect his overall production. The 31-year-old switch-hitter is one of the best all-around hitters in baseball despite not having much protection around him in Cleveland. He's been an All-Star each of the last three years and five times overall, and he slashed a strong .282/.356/.475 again in 2023 with 24 homers, 80 RBI and 28 steals in 156 games. J-Ram should come off the board in the second round of fantasy drafts.

Sun Aug 27 202317:58Jose Ramirez Goes Deep In Win Over Toronto
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base in a 10-7 extra-innings win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. J-Ram filled up the stat sheet in this contest, highlighted by his two-run homer off Yusei Kikuchi in the top of the third inning. He added a single, a stolen base, a walk, and another run scored as well. Ramirez has been a bit of a letdown, as far as RBI are concerned, this season but that's primarily due to team context. Overall, he's been one of the better third basemen in fantasy and will look to finish strong as the playoffs are fast approaching. The veteran third baseman is slashing .279/.353/.489 with 21 home runs, 71 RBI, and 21 stolen bases over 487 at-bats on the season.

Sat Aug 12 202312:33Jose Ramirez Begins Serving Suspension Saturday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has had his suspension reduced from three games to two, and he will begin serving his suspension on Saturday. Ramirez was appealing MLB's suspension for his involvement in a brawl with the Chicago White Sox last Saturday in which he dropped Tim Anderson with a right hook after a slide into second base. Fantasy managers won't have the 30-year-old All-Star available for the rest of the weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays, but he should be back in action on Tuesday to face the Cincinnati Reds. J-Ram has once again been a set-and-forget fantasy commodity for lineups in 2023. He's hitting .282/.357/.487 with an .844 OPS, 18 home runs, 65 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 68 runs scored in his 439 at-bats.

Mon Aug 7 202317:03Jose Ramirez Gets Three-Game Ban
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has been suspended three games by Major League Baseball for his part in Saturday night's brawl with the Chicago White Sox and shortstop Tim Anderson, according to sources. Ramirez is appealing the suspension and will remain in the lineup at third base and in the three-hole on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays, so fantasy managers should keep him in their lineups to start the week. The 30-year-old took a blind right hook that landed on Anderson's jaw and knocked him to the ground before things were broken up on Saturday night. Fantasy managers need to keep in mind that J-Ram could miss some games at some point this week, but as long as he's playing, he's a must-start in all fantasy lineups.

Mon Aug 7 202312:20Jose Ramirez Facing Multi-Game Suspension
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez is facing a multi-game suspension from the league as MLB sorts out discipline following Ramirez's brawl with Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson on Saturday. The teams expect to hear from the league on Monday, and fantasy managers should brace for being without Ramirez for an extended period. Ramirez and Anderson threw punches at second base in the sixth inning on Saturday night, with Ramirez knocking Anderson to the ground with a blind right hook that landed on Anderson's chin. Both players were ejected, along with Cleveland manager Terry Francona, third base coach Mike Sarbaugh, closer Emmanuel Clase and White Sox manager Pedro Grifol.
