Fri Apr 13 2012 | 19:20 | Lin likely to join Red Sox |
Less than two minutes before the first pitch at Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday, Che-Hsuan Lin was scratched from the lineup, indicating that he may be on his way to Boston. |
Manager Bobby Valentine hinted after the game that they would require another outfielder after Jacoby Ellsbury's injury, and Lin fills that role. He's not a tremendous asset offensively and will likely serve as the team's fourth outfielder until Ellsbury returns. Expect Ryan Sweeney, Cody Ross and Darnell McDonald to man the outfield in the meantime. |
