Wed Feb 9 201120:50Yanks void deal with Luis Vizcaino
The Yankees have voided their minor league contract with reliever Luis Vizcaino.
The Yanks inked Vizcaino to the deal in late December after they spotted him throwing well in a winter league. But he blew out his Achilles last month and he probably won't be able to pitch in any sort of live game this year as he rests and rehabs. The 36-year-old can try again in 2012.

Yankees signed RHP Luis Vizcaino to a minor league contract.

Sun Dec 19 201022:57Yankees to sign Vizcaino
The Yankees and Luis Vizcaino have come to terms on a minor league deal, reports the Star-Ledger.
Vizcaino last pitched in the majors with the Indians in June 2009. He spent 2007 with the Yankees and had a 4.30 ERA in 75 1/3 innings this year. He's 36 now and it's hard to imagine him being more than a average middle reliever, but for $750,000 if he makes the team, the price is right.
