Tue Aug 616:18Heliot Ramos Back In Giants Lineup
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (thumb) is starting in center field and is batting second for the Giants on Tuesday against the hosting Washington Nationals and left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Ramos is back in the fold for San Fran after missing three of the last four games due to swelling in his right thumb. Fantasy managers will want to get the 24-year-old first-time All-Star back into their starting lineups, especially since he's hit a cool .423 (30-for-71) with seven of his 15 home runs on the year against left-handed pitchers. Since the All-Star break, the right-handed hitting Puerto Rican outfielder has gone 13-for-56 (.232) with a homer, two doubles, a triple, seven RBI and a run scored in 14 games played. In his first extended chance at the big-league level, Ramos has helped as outfield depth in fantasy leagues in 2024 with 15 homers while hitting .285 (83-for-291).

Mon Aug 516:24Heliot Ramos Out Of Action On Monday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (thumb) is out of the starting lineup on Monday versus the hosting Washington Nationals. Mike Yastrzemski is getting the start in center field and will bat in the nine-hole for the Giants against Nationals left-hander Patrick Corbin. In the lefty-lefty matchup and at the bottom of the batting order, Yaz won't be a popular DFS option on Monday. Ramos is missing a second straight game to begin the week due to a swollen right thumb. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the lineup in D.C. The 24-year-old Puerto Rican was a first-time All-Star this year and has been a bright spot for the Gigantes in 2024 by hitting .285/.344/.491 with an .835 OPS, 15 homers and 53 RBI in 74 games. He's gone 13-for-56 (.232) with a homer and seven RBI in 14 games since the All-Star break, though.

Sun Aug 411:21Heliot Ramos Out On Sunday, Still Dealing With Lingering Injury
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (thumb) will take a seat on Sunday afternoon as the Giants close out a three-game set against the Cincinnati Reds. Ramos was kept out of the lineup last Sunday due to a thumb injury but returned to game action all throughout the week. However, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that Ramos is sitting today due to the same thumb injury that is continuing to linger. As a result, Mike Yastrzemski will shift to center field today. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a nice breakout campaign boasting a stellar .285/.344/.491 line with 18 home runs and 53 RBI. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the Giants lineup on Monday evening prior to their game against the Nationals. Yastrzemski is worth a look in DFS today as he will face Reds right-hander Carson Spiers who has held a 4.13 ERA across his past six starts.

Wed Jul 1009:15Heliot Ramos Continues To Shine
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos continued his breakthrough season in Tuesday's victory versus the Toronto Blue Jays. The 24-year-old went 2-for-4 on the evening with a solo home run. Ramos has been up-and-down throughout the minors and big leagues over the past season, but he has seized his opportunity this year and with the way he has played, there are no signs that he plans to leave San Francisco anytime soon. On the season, Ramos is now hitting .302 with 13 homers and 42 RBI in 55 games and has become of the better waiver wire finds of 2024 thus far. Despite his impressive numbers, managers should expect Ramos to eventually regress, making him a good sell-high candidate in the right deal.

Fri Jun 2101:05Heliot Ramos Smashes Three-Run Homer On Thursday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos went 1-for-5 with a homer, a run, and three RBI in a 6-5 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. Ramos has been electric since his call-up in early May, slashing .307/.382/.553 with 17 runs, 10 homers, and 35 RBI in just 150 at-bats. He has worked his way into an integral spot at the top of the Giants lineup and is unlikely to be moved out of that spot if he can keep hitting well. Selling high could be an option for fantasy managers, but his underlying metrics are excellent and outfield is a weak position, so hanging onto him and hoping this is who Ramos truly is could be the best option.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos had a big game in a 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday. The speedy outfielder hit a two-run homer in the first inning and added an RBI double in the fifth to complete the scoring for San Francisco. Ramos is putting together an excellent season for the Giants, hitting .325 with seven doubles, eight homers, 15 runs, 30 RBI, and one stolen base across 126 at-bats. He has been red-hot at the plate over his past 15 games, hitting .386 with six homers and 18 RBI over that span. Ramos should be owned in all fantasy leagues while he is seeing the ball well at the plate.

Thu Jun 600:20Heliot Ramos Reaches Base Six Times In Win
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos was busy in Wednesday's win over the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks, reaching base safely six times and hitting his fifth home run of the year. Ramos walked four times on Wednesday, also tagging struggling D-backs left-hander Jordan Montgomery for a two-run homer to center field to give the Giants a 2-1 lead in the third inning. The 24-year-old former first-round pick has carved out a significant role in San Fran's outfield and is worth a look in all fantasy leagues while he's running this hot. Over 26 games this season, Ramos is slashing a potent .304/.407/.511 with five long balls, four doubles, 19 RBI, and one stolen base.

Wed May 823:33Heliot Ramos Recalled From Triple-A
After Jorge Soler was placed on the 10-Day IL, the San Francisco Giants recalled outfielder Heliot Ramos from Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. Ramos was immediately slotted into the lineup for the Giants and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored batting out of the seventh spot in the order. The 24-year-old has seen a limited amount of action with the Giants before in parts of 2022 and 2023, but this is his first action of 2024. He hadn't done much of anything with his prior 82 plate appearances in the majors, but was hitting well for Sacramento so far this season before the call-up, slashing .296/.388/.565 with eight home runs, 21 RBI, 23 runs scored, and a pair of stolen bases in 30 games played. Hopefully he can get things going while Soler is out and perhaps make a push to stick around this time. The right-handed hitter should remain on the waiver wire for now.

Sat Feb 2421:19Heliot Ramos Injures Knee, Should Return Sunday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (knee) was removed from Saturday's Spring Training game after being hit by a pitch. His departure from the contest was likely precautionary given that, after the game's conclusion, manager Bob Melvin said Ramos' injury wasn't serious and he should return to the lineup on Sunday. The 24-year-old is regarded as one of the Giants' better young players, but he's struggled to the tune of a .158/.220/.250 slash line, 31.7 K%, and 31 wRC+ through parts of two big-league seasons.

Ramos will bat sixth and play left field against lefty Trevor Rogers on Sunday. That is not exactly an ideal matchup for Ramos, but he could end up with deep league value, assuming he carves out a role for himself.
