Rangers acquired RHP Travis Chick from the Pirates for a PTBN or cash. | ||||||
Chick was just signed by the Pirates on July 27, and he had made only one appearance for Triple-A Indianapolis after spending the first few months in indy ball. He'll likely be assigned to Double- or Triple-A, and it's doubtful that he'll be one of the Rangers' callups next month. | ||||||

Pirates signed RHP Travis Chick to a minor league contract. | ||||||
Chick will report to Triple-A Indianapolis. The 26-year-old right-hander was 5-4 with a 4.40 ERA this season for the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League. He was with the Angels during spring training, but hasn't appeared in a regular season game since 2006 as a member of the Mariners. | ||||||
