Dodgers reassigned INF Brian Barden, OF Jeremy Moore and INF/OF Omar Luna to minor league camp. |
No surprises here. Barden batted a robust .478/.538/.565 this spring, but he was never a real Opening Day roster candidate. |

Dodgers signed INF Brian Barden to a minor league contract. |
Barden hasn't appeared in the major leagues since 2010, when he batted just .179/.281/.179 in 32 plate appearances with the Marlins. He will probably spend the entire 2013 campaign at Triple-A Albuquerque. |

Tue Jul 19 2011 | 10:57 | Barden signs contract with Japanese team |
Brian Barden has signed a contract with the Hiroshima Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball. |
Barden opted out of his minor league pact with the Rangers on July 1 after batting .357/.403/.556 in 232 plate appearances at Triple-A Round Rock but failing to earn a promotion to the major leagues. The 30-year-old infielder should do well overseas. |

Sat Dec 18 2010 | 17:36 | Rangers sign INF Barden to minor league deal |
Rangers signed infielder Brian Barden to a minor league contract. |
Barden spent half of last season on the Marlins' roster, but he received just 28 at-bats as the team's 25th man. He plays a solid shortstop and a very good third base, but with his bat, he's probably never going to be more than the last guy on a bench. |

Sat Jul 3 2010 | 11:41 | Barden given the boot from Marlins' roster |
Marlins designated INF Brian Barden for assignment. |
Barden simply didn't get the job done in his limited chances for the Fish, hitting a measly .179 over 28 at-bats. |
