Phillies released RHP Drew Naylor.

Naylor was designated for assignment earlier this month. He's still recovering from Tommy John surgery.

He was given the boot to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. Naylor, 25, underwent Tommy John surgery in June and will likely be sidelined until the middle of the 2012 season.
