Zach Kroenke is close to re-signing with the Brewers on a minor league contract. |
The info on the near-deal, which will not include a spring training invite, was passed along by Kroenke's agent, Joshua Kusnick. Kroenke posted a 4.51 ERA over 129 2/3 Triple-A frames this season and hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011. |

Thu Nov 15 2012 | 19:50 | Zach Kroenke signs with Brewers |
Brewers signed LHP Zach Kroenke to a minor league contract. |
He should receive an invitation to spring training. Kroenke spent all of 2012 at Triple-A, posting a 5.67 ERA over 119 innings. He doesn't have a bad arm, though, and should get a shot to win a spot in a Brewers bullpen that was terrible this year. |

Sun Nov 11 2012 | 20:17 | Zach Kroenke drawing interest as free agent |
According to FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, multiple teams have expressed interest in free agent left-hander Zach Kroenke. |
Kroenke, 28, was released by the Diamondbacks this offseason as a six-year minor league free agent. He posted an underwhelming 5.67 ERA at the Triple-A level, but has an average fastball velocity of 91.1 mph. The Mariners, Royals, and Blue Jays have all been listed as possible landing spots. |

Sat Oct 2 2010 | 01:19 | Kroenke impressive in first ML start |
In his first major league start Friday, Zach Kroenke tossed five innings of one-run ball as part of a 7-4 win. |
The rookie southpaw gave up just two hits -- one of them a solo homer by Matt Kemp in the bottom of the fourth inning -- while fanning a pair and walking one. Kroenke, who was selected from the Yankees in last year's Rule 5 Draft, really struggled as reliever with Triple-A Reno this season, but posted a miniscule 1.43 ERA over nine starts. Perhaps he can be more than just a left-handed specialist, after all. |
Fri Sep 3 2010 | 18:02 | D'Backs call up LHP Kroenke |
Diamondbacks recalled LHP Zach Kroenke from Triple-A Reno. |
Kroenke was a big disappointment out of the pen for Reno this season, but after moving into the rotation in late July, he had a 1.46 ERA in seven starts. Overall, he finished with a 3.51 ERA in 97 1/3 innings. The Diamondbacks could give him a spot start or two later this month, but he'll likely pitch in relief for now. |
