Two sources told Adam Rubin of ESPN New York that Kevin Mulvey decided to retire after Saturday's game with Double-A Binghamton. |
Mulvey, who coincidentally turned 27 Saturday, has posted a 5.59 ERA over 13 relief appearances with Binghamton this season. The former second-round pick holds a 7.90 ERA over 10 career major league appearances. |

The former second-round pick has an ugly 8.14 ERA over eight career major league appearances (four starts). |
