So that's why Gartrell was mysteriously outrighted off the White Sox' 40-man roster. The 27-year-old hit .255/.316/.448 with 27 home runs at Triple-A Charlotte last season and was off to a .304/.385/.609 start this year. He was not listed among Chicago's top 30 prospects by Baseball America. |
