The Skeeters have also signed right-hander Sean Gallagher and left-hander Bobby Livingston. Elarton, 37, hasn't appeared in the majors since 2008 as a member of the Indians. He had a 5.41 ERA in 26 starts last season with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate. |

The contract includes an invite to spring training. Elarton, who turns 36 in February, hasn't appeared in a major league game since 2008 as a member of the Indians. He last pitched in 2010 when he posted an 8.24 ERA and 13/8 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings with Triple-A Charlotte in the White Sox organization. He's a longshot to make a major impact. |
