C Andrew Susac was activated from the 10-day disabled list Friday and will serve as Milwaukee's third catcher in the final few weeks of the season. Susac has appeared in only two games in 2017, spending a majority of the year at Triple-A Colorado Springs, where he batted .205 in 51 games and also spent significant time on the disabled list.

Susac was considered a candidate for surgery, and it appears he's elected to have it. The young catcher is expected to be ready for the start of spring training, so the issue shouldn't impact his availability for the start of the 2016 season.
