Hardaway will be re-evaluated in a few days and if he is showing progress, he could progress to running and jumping. F Rondae Hollis-Jefferson totaled 24 points but the Nets shot 30 percent in the fourth quarter and missed 12 of 14 3-pointers in the fourth.

F Courtney Lee was aware Kristaps Porzingis was feeling some left knee pain and New York Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek needed someone to step up. Lee proved to be the player ready to get things done for the Knicks.Lee compensated for Porzingis' absence in most of the second half Thursday night by scoring 18 of his season-high 27 points as the Knicks blew an 18-point lead before pulling out a 111-104 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.Lee finished three points shy of his career high set March 8, 2010, getting a 3-pointer and a reverse layup off a steal before hitting four three throws to ice New York's third straight win.

F Luc Mbah a Moute could only miss two to three weeks after an MRI exam Thursday reportedly revealed no significant damage. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that there is optimism that the 31-year-old veteran forward could only be out a couple weeks after injuring his shoulder on a driving dunk in Wednesday's win vs. Charlotte. He finished with two points, one rebound and an assist in nine minutes. He is averaging 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds through 24 games with the Rockets this season, his first with the team.

C Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) will sit out versus the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.

F Draymond Green added his name to a growing list of injured teammates in being ruled out for Thursday's home game against the Dallas Mavericks, the San Jose Mercury News reported. Green is nursing a sore right shoulder that also held him out of Monday's 111-104 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 10.1 points and 7.2 rebounds this season. Guard Nick Young (concussion) and center Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) will also sit out versus the Mavericks while two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry is expected to miss another week with a right ankle sprain.
