SF Corey Brewer entered the playoffs not having made a 3-pointer in his last 17 attempts, dating back to Houston's game March 25 against Toronto. The switch from regular season to postseason didn't change his luck. Brewer missed all three of his 3-point attempts in Saturday's loss to the Warriors, running his slump to 20 straight. He finished with just three points on 1-for-8 shooting in 28 minutes.

Brewer scored 20 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 8-9 FT) to go along with three rebounds, an assist and three steals in a 123-119 loss to the Magic on Sunday.
This is a glimpse into what Brewer brings to the table, as he can make some threes and provide steals at a nice rate. The role will always remain the same for Brewer no matter what team he plays for. He makes for a nice energizer off the bench and can give his team a spark at any moment through his hustle and perseverance. The fantasy value is limited though, as there's too much depth at forward for the Rockets right now.
Fri Jul 3 201518:16Corey Brewer: Re-Signs with Rockets
Brewer re-signed Friday with the Rockets on a three-year, $24 million contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Brewer figures to reprise his role as one of Houston's first members off the bench, a capacity he thrived in late last season. The lanky winger has never been much of a threat behind the three-point arc, but his relentless energy on defense and ability to finish off fast breaks is ideally suited for the Rockets' up-tempo attack. Brewer may have to eventually fight off first-round draft choice Sam Dekker for court time, but at least in the early stages of 2015-16, he should play around 25 to 30 minutes a night.
Sun Jun 28 201517:43Brewer wants long-term deal
Brewer wants a long-term deal, but still is considering re-signing with the Rockets, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! reports.
After being traded from the Timberwolves to the Rockets this past season, Brewer came up huge off the bench down the final stretch of the season for Houston. He finished with averages of 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 25 minutes per game. The Rockets would likely love to have Brewer back, seeing as though he excels in their high-paced offensive attack, but the team may be reluctant to commit to a long-term deal with small forward, especially after they spent a first round pick in Thursday's draft on swingman Sam Dekker.
Tue Jun 16 201513:12Brewer traded to Rockets from Timberwolves in December
Brewer was traded to the Rockets from the Timberwolves in December. He averaged 11.9 points, 1.0 three-pointers, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 1.1 steals in 25 minutes per game through 56 games with Houston in 2014-15.
At 29 years old, the eight-year NBA veteran will go into the offseason owning the rights to a player option. Brewer's shooting efficiency with Houston (43% FG, 28% 3Pt, 76% FT) was better than his shooting efficiency with Minnesota (42% FG, 20% 3Pt, 71% FT) this season. With players like Trevor Ariza and James Harden being the only competition ahead of him, Brewer filled an important role as a sixth man off the bench on a team that competed for a spot in the NBA Finals. Should he choose to re-sign with the Rockets, Brewer will most likely continue to garner similar minutes and production on a championship-caliber team.

Brewer said Friday that he wants to return to Houston next season, Calvin Watkins of ESPN reports.
Brewer has the option to opt out of his contract for next season, and while he's yet to announce his decision, it's considered a formality that he'll opt out in hopes of landing a longer-term deal. Houston would likely love to bring the defensive-minded swingman back, but if he receives a lucrative offer from another team as an unrestricted free agent, the Rockets, who have other needs to fill, may not be able to so. Brewer averaged 11.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 56 regular season games this season after coming over from Minnesota via trade.

Brewer averaged 25.8 minutes per game during the first round elimination of the Mavericks.
Brewer played a crucial role off the bench for the Rockets in the first round and even managed to average 14.4 points over that five-game stretch. He's still limited behind normal starter Trevor Ariza, but Brewer is a viable option moving forward in most postseason formats.

Brewer (oblique) is again listed as probable Wednesday against Sacramento.
Brewer has been playing through a minor oblique issue for the last few games, and while he hasn't been limited in terms of minutes, the team continues to list him as probable. Expect him to play Wednesday, though Houston could look to get Brewer a game or two of rest down the stretch if the right scenario arises.

Brewer (oblique) scored 13 points (6-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT) to go along with five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes Monday against the Raptors.
Brewer struggled from the field Monday and has shot 38.5 percent or less in five of his last seven games. He is usually a solid contributor on the defensive end and can provide three-pointers, but he's not going to shoot for a high percentage.
Mon Mar 30 201511:16Brewer (oblique) listed as probable for Monday's game
Brewer (oblique) is listed as probable for Monday's game, Fox 26's Mark Berman reports.
He was probable for Friday's game and played 29 minutes and then was able to play another 22 minutes Sunday, so the expectation should be for more of the same on Monday.

Brewer (oblique) is listed as probable for Friday's matchup with the Wolves, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reports.
Brewer has a mildly strained oblique, which he played through Wednesday night to score two points with two rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes. He'll take it easy Thursday with the hope that any discomfort is no longer present Friday night.
