Sun Oct 29 202323:21Kevin Love Probable To Take On Bucks
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (shoulder) seems to be in line to only miss one game with a left shoulder contusion as he was listed as probable for their Monday night game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Love started in the team's first two games, but had to take the night off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. While a lot of the team's frontcourt is dealing with injuries, they'll need to lean on Love as much as they can. He was one point and one rebound shy of posting his second double-double in as many games, and he could be a solid streaming option in deeper leagues on Monday.

Sat Oct 28 202315:46Kevin Love Sitting Out Against Minnesota
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (shoulder) won't play in Saturday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The veteran logged 21 minutes in the loss to Boston on Friday, finishing shy of a double-double. But with Miami playing the first back-to-back of the 2023-24 campaign, there may be other reasons Love won't suit up. The Heat also won't have Jimmy Butler (rest), Caleb Martin (knee), and Josh Richardson (heel), meaning Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro could have big nights. Also, guys like Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and Dru Smith could be involved enough to be worthwhile streaming options for managers in any fantasy format.

Wed Aug 2 202309:59Kevin Love Could Be In And Out Of Starting Lineup In 2023-24
Miami Heat power forward Kevin Love is set to battle with Caleb Martin for a starter's role next season. "It possibly could wind up like during the playoffs, where it's situational, with Kevin Love starting against bigger front lines and Caleb Martin starting against small-ball alignments. But Erik Spoelstra has shown during the regular season that lineup continuity is the preference," Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel explained the situation. Winderman added that Spoelstra might also use Love as a backup center, which will limit his opportunities to roll with the first unit. The 34-year-old started 17 of 21 regular-season games for the team last season and 18 of 20 playoff contests.

Tue Aug 1 202307:32Biggest Moves of the 2023 NBA Offseason - Fred VanVleet, Jordan Poole, Kristaps Porzingis, Bradley Beal
It's a crazy time of year around the National Basketball Association. Not long after the Denver Nuggets captured the franchise's first championship, French big manVictor Wembanyama was the top pick of the 2023 Draft. While new talent entering the league is all well and good, nothing turns the NBA upside down quite like the beginning of free agency. Since June 30, many notable players have signed with new teams. There were also more than a few significant trades. In either case, at least a handful of clubs will look very different (for the better?) come training camp. Let's take a look at some of the biggest names on the move and how they might affect the NBA landscape this season.

Fred VanVleet - Houston Rockets

The Rockets entered the 2022-23 campaign as the second-youngest team in the National Basketball Association, and it showed. The club finished with 22 wins and 60 losses, with the Pistons being the only team with a worse record. As a result, the front office made a point to shake things up after the exhaustingly long year came to a close. The overhaul began when Stephen Silas, winning just 59 of his 236 games in Houston, was relieved of his head coaching duties. In his place, Ime Udoka, who helped guide the Celtics to an NBA Finals appearance in his first season, took the reigns. While Udoka's tenure in Boston didn't end on a positive note, he's still regarded as one of the sharpest minds in the league, even by those who lost respect for him on a personal level.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1650612243661242369?s=20While having a knowledgeable head coach will help accelerate the growth of an up-and-coming squad, the Rockets needed someone to facilitate things on the floor. With Houston having plenty of cap space entering the offseason, the team signed ... [More]
Sat Jul 1 202310:25Kevin Love Decides To Stick In Miami
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love has decided to stick with the team, agreeing to a two-year contract. He comes with a $3.7 million cap hit for next season and the second year is a player option. Following a long run with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Love signed with Miami in February after agreeing to a buyout with the Cavs. He averaged 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 20.0 minutes with the Heat. Both parties clearly liked how things worked out and this has led to a new contract. With that said, Love will be 35 in September and his fantasy stock will likely continue to drop in 2023-24.

Tue Jun 27 202310:15Kevin Love A Target For Bucks
Sources have told Sam Amico of Hoops Wire that the Milwaukee Bucks could pursue Kevin Love in free agency. Milwaukee suffered an embarrassing first-round exit in the 2023 playoffs against Love and the Miami Heat, and the team could look quite different in 2023-24 as Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez test free agency. Love had a couple of big games against the Bucks in the playoffs and proved that he can still do a job at 34 years old. He will definitely look to join a contender at this stage of his career and the Bucks seem like a good fit.

Sun Jun 4 202318:45Kevin Love Expected To Start Sunday
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love is expected to start Sunday night against the Denver Nuggets. Love recently fell out of the rotation after sitting the final two games of the Eastern Conference Finals and the first game of the NBA Finals. Heat could use Love's shooting ability to space the floor against Denver's lengthy frontcourt. Love's return to the starting lineup may push Caleb Martin (illness) to the bench.

Tue May 23 202319:04Kevin Love Available For Game 4
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Love asked to be pulled from Game 3 after playing only five minutes with what looked like an ankle injury at the time. It was later reported that Love was dealing with some cramping, but he could have returned if the game was closer. Love scored Miami's first five points before leaving on Sunday and will look to pick up where he left off in Game 4.

Mon May 22 202317:17Kevin Love Considered Probable For Game 4
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (leg) is considered probable for Tuesday's Game 4 against the Boston Celtics, according to Erik Spoelstra. The veteran forward got off to a hot start in Game 3, but his night ended shortly after that. Love was forced to exit after five minutes due to a left leg issue and didn't return. It sounds like it was a minor issue and Love is heading in the right direction. If he's not available, Caleb Martin would likely move into the starting five where he'd have better streaming value.

Sun May 21 202321:18Kevin Love Questionable To Return Sunday
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (ankle) is questionable to return Sunday against the Boston Celtics. Love took himself out of the game after walking gingerly and immediately went to the locker room. Miami has reported Love is dealing with a left ankle injury and have not determined if he will be able to return. Caleb Martin should see all the minutes he can handle while Love is on the sidelines.

Thu Mar 9 202323:15Kevin Love Probable Against Former Team
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (rib) is expected to play against the visiting Cavaliers. The veteran has averaged 7.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in seven games with Miami, so he's at least producing somewhat for his new team. Undoubtedly, his scoring numbers haven't been the best this season. However, category managers in deeper formats can still benefit from Love's proficiency on the glass, although his shooting percentages could use some work.

Wed Mar 8 202318:35Kevin Love Officially Available Wednesday
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (rib) will play Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Love was upgraded from questionable to probable so this comes as no surprise as he returns to face his former team. Love is expected to regain his starting spot while Caleb Martin should see a dip in fantasy value.

Wed Mar 8 202314:40Kevin Love Upgraded To Probable Wednesday
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (ribs) has been upgraded to probable ahead of Wednesday's matchup against Cleveland. He missed Monday's clash with Atlanta due to a right rib contusion and the team initially listed Love as questionable for Wednesday. The veteran has suited up for Miami six times since joining the club on Feb. 24, averaging 7.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 22.5 minutes as a starter. Having played for the Cavaliers for over eight years, Love should know all about what's waiting for him Wednesday.

Tue Mar 7 202318:21Kevin Love Questionable Versus Cavs
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (rib) is questionable to play Wednesday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Love missed last game with a rib contusion but has a chance to play against his former team for the first time since his buyout. Love was originally probable on Monday before being downgraded to out, but the Heat have stated it will not be a long term issue. If Love is able to play, Caleb Martin should see a dip in minutes.

Mon Mar 6 202318:15Kevin Love Won't Miss Significant Time
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (rib) is not expected to miss significant time, according to head coach Erik Spoelstra. The veteran forward is dealing with a right rib contusion, but it isn't something that is going to sideline him for long. However, Love has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The X-rays on his ribs came back negative, so he'll be considered day-to-day going forward. Caleb Martin is expected to move into the starting five with Love sidelined. He'll see a boost in fantasy value until Love returns.

Sun Mar 5 202320:15Kevin Love Probable Against Atlanta
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love (rib) is anticipated to suit up on Monday versus the Atlanta Hawks. Love is considered probable, so fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much. The veteran has averaged 7.5 points and 7.3 rebounds since joining the Heat, so the upside is there for those playing in deeper fantasy formats.

Sun Feb 26 202319:41Kevin Love Expected To Play Versus Philly
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love (knee) is probable ahead of Monday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 34-year-old has a hyperextended left knee. However, considering Miami has been overly cautious with listing its players on the injury report, fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much. Love finished with a 13-point, 13-rebound double on Saturday versus the Charlotte Hornets, so it appears he's adjusting well to his new squad. That said, he's struggled shooting the ball since going to South Beach, although he should turn things around soon.

Thu Feb 23 202316:31Kevin Love Will Make His Miami Debut On Friday
Miami Heat forward Kevin Love said that he's ready to go for Friday's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks, which would be his debut game with his new team. The veteran big man will look to make a mark coming off of the bench at first, but he could play his way into the starting lineup, as Miami has seemingly been looking for a replacement for Caleb Martin. Love hasn't even been inside of the top 225 for nine-category leagues this year, so fantasy managers may want to give it a little time before rushing to the waiver wire to pick him up.

Sun Feb 19 202314:56Kevin Love Plans To Sign With Miami
According to ESPN senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, free-agent forward Kevin Love will sign with the Miami Heat after clearing waivers. The 24-year-old, who recently reached a buyout agreement with the Cleveland Cavaliers, has averaged 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and shot 37.2% from deep in his 15 seasons of service. Love was only used sporadically in Cleveland over the last few years. However, he'll have a chance to carve out a more prominent role in Miami, so fantasy managers in deeper formats should consider adding him to the roster.

Sat Feb 18 202313:10Kevin Love, Cavs Agree To Contract Buyout
According to ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Kevin Love and the Cavaliers have agreed to a contract buyout. The former UCLA Bruin has played for Minnesota and Cleveland since entering the league in 2008 and has averaged 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and shot 37.2% from deep during his career. Miami remains the frontrunner to acquire Love's services, although he will meet with the Philadelphia 76ers before deciding. Without question, his best days are behind him. However, the 34-year-old has more than a few potent fantasy performances left in the tank.
