Marshall will start Friday against the Hawks.
Head coach Jason Kidd reportedly wanted to see O.J. Mayo play with the second unit again, and moved Marshall into the starting lineup to add an extra ball handler. While Marshall's starting gig may not be permanent, he will at least get the nod Friday, and could see a bump in minutes as a result.

Marshall scored 8 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and added six assists and one steal in 19 minutes of action against the Kings on Thursday.
Marshall is a sneaky source of assists - he averaged 8.8 assists per game last year while he was getting 29 minutes a game. He is worthy of deep leagues and some standard leagues for teams that need assists.

Marshall scored a season-high 20 points (7-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with four assists in 24 minutes in the win over Miami on Friday.
Marshall received extra playing time because Brandon Knight got in foul trouble. He took full advantage and was stroking his 3-pointers. Marshall has played at least 16 minutes in four of his last five games, but he is only an assist-based add in a pinch.

Marshall failed to get into the game Saturday, just one day after starting at point guard.
Jason Kidd continues to tinker with his rotation and Marshall appears to be the biggest victim of his whims. Marshall has now played three of the Bucks' six games this season and has totalled just six points and five assists for the season. If you drafted Marshall, you likely can find more reliable options on the waiver-wire.
Sat Nov 8 201419:24Marshall will move back to bench Saturday
Marshall will move back to the bench Saturday, Jeremy Schmidt of the TrueHoop Network reports.
Marshall spent one game in the starting lineup but was only able to put up three points in 21 minutes of action. With the move back to the bench, the point guard will have a hard time getting on the court at all.
Fri Nov 7 201418:54Kendall Marshall: Will Start Friday
Marshall will move into the starting lineup for Jared Dudley on Friday.
Marshall has only seen a total of 11 minutes over the first five games of the season but coach Jason Kidd as decided to switch up his rotation. Despite the start, Marshall will likely still share time on the court with Jared Dudley and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Marshall did not see the floor in Wednesday's 108-106 loss to the Hornets.
Marshall, whose contract was recently guaranteed for the season, joined Nate Wolters as the only two healthy Bucks not to play in the 108-106 overtime defeat. The third-year North Carolina product is an elite passer and assist-man, but it appears he's firmly behind both Brandon Knight and Jerryd Bayless on the depth chart. Coach Jason Kidd admitted he'll be trying out different rotations over the first month of the season, however, so Marshall isn't likely to log too many DNP-CDs, though he's also not in line to see significant minutes at this time.

Marshall's contract has been guaranteed by Milwaukee for the entire 2014-15 season, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
He will make $915,000 this season, serving as the Bucks' backup point guard. Last season he averaged eight points and 8.8 assists in 54 games for the Lakers, but he may be used in a slightly smaller role with Milwaukee this season.
Fri Jul 25 201412:08Hammond calls Marshall a pass-first PG
General manager John Hammond said that calling Kendall Marshall a pass-first point guard is an understatement.
"He has tremendous vision, similar to the coach he's playing for," Hammond said. "He can throw over the top to bigs, he can throw ahead in transition and he also can penetrate and break down a defense." It's still unclear how the Bucks are going to use Marshall, but it sounds like he'll be in the rotation at the very least. He has a decent chance to start considering the personnel on the Bucks.

Sun Jul 20 201418:48Bucks officially claim PG Kendall Marshall
The Bucks officially claimed PG Kendall Marshall off waivers on Sunday.
Marshall's contract will pay him a relatively meager $915k next season, making him a cost-effective addition to the Bucks' backcourt. He started 45 games for L.A. last year, and despite struggling after the All-Star break he still shot 39.9 percent from downtown. Unfortunately, he's unlikely to have a big fantasy impact while Brandon Knight and Nate Wolters are healthy, especially if coach Jason Kidd follows through on his plan to use Giannis Antetokounmpo at PG.

Sat Jul 19 201418:50Bucks to claim Kendall Marshall off waivers
The Bucks will be claiming Kendall Marshall off waivers.
The Lakers had to have known there was a strong possibility that another team would be claiming Marshall. Perhaps rookie Jordan Clarkson playing so well at summer league made it a risk they were willing to take in order to open up some cap space. Marshall will compete with Nate Wolters as the backup or he could start and move Brandon Knight to the shooting guard. Just like last season, the Bucks have some very interesting lineup decisions to make.

Fri Jul 18 201414:26The Lakers waive Kendall Marshall on Friday
Lakers waive G Kendall Marshall.
The team is hoping to pick him back up after he clears waivers and are just clearing out some cap space since his contract wasn't guaranteed. A team may look to pick him up after he really improved as a scorer and did a solid job running the point. Jordan Clarkson should help the Lakers' depth behind Steve Nash and Jeremy Lin.

Fri Apr 18 201413:15Lakers plan to keep Marshall on team option
The Lakers plan to pick up Kendall Marshall's $915,000 team option.
The Lakers need bodies given their nine unrestricted free agents. Marshall was asked to do more than he's capable of this year, but got valuable experience while running the show for most of the year. In 45 starts, he averaged 8.1 points, 9.5 assists, 1.3 3-pointers and 1.0 steals. Marshall isn't a good enough shooter and has too many physical limitations to be a plus NBA point guard, but he'd be a fine backup.

Wed Apr 9 201401:31Kendall Marshall plays just 19 minutes
Kendall Marshall played just 19 minutes and failed to score in Tuesday's brutal loss to the Rockets.
He had four assists, but the Lakers were intent on getting Steve Nash past Mark Jackson for No. 3 on the all-time assists lists (success), while Jordan Farmar was back in action as well. Nash will probably shut it down now that he has his place in history, but Farmar's 27 minutes are a big concern. Marshall may continue to start, but is no longer a great fantasy option with Farmar intent on finishing in a big way. He played 43 minutes and had a double-double on Sunday, but Farmar was in street clothes for that one. A timeshare with Farmar is a best-case scenario for Marshall, but it looks like Farmar will overshadow him going forward.

Sat Apr 5 201402:24Marshall goes for eight and nine with a three
Kendall Marshall scored nine points on 4-of-9 shooting with two rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one block and one three over 29 minutes in the Lakers' 107-95 loss to the Mavs on Friday.
The Mavs' defense is terrible and that should be noted, but what's more important is that both Jordan Farmar and Steve Nash could be in and out of the lineup next week. Marshall has a pair of healthy lines under his belt, but trouble could be on the way.

Thu Apr 3 201402:04Marshall flirts with triple-double in loss
Kendall Marshall scored seven points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, 10 assists and two steals over 32 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
Make no mistake this was a garbage-time game from start to finish, and with little resistance from Kings defenders he was able to get his numbers tonight. Jordan Farmar could return soon and that will probably be enough to kill Marshall's value, and this is the first time he has made any real noise lately. Add him at your own risk.

Wed Apr 2 201401:19Kendall Marshall plays 19 minutes
Kendall Marshall played just 19 minutes vs. the Blazers on Tuesday with four points, six boards, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.
It's the second time in his last three games which he's failed to crack for 20 minutes. All of Steve Nash's minutes are going to come at Marshall's expense, so it'll be tough to start the second-year guard when Nash is active. He had a good run, but he is not worth owning in most cases.

Fri Mar 28 201422:53Marshall falls off a cliff in the blowout
Kendall Marshall fell off a cliff in Friday's blowout loss, scoring zero points on 0-for-6 shooting with zero rebounds, three assists and a steal in 15 minutes.
Marshall's confidence is shot and that's probably due to all the lineup changes, not to mention the fact that he doesn't have a whole lot of room for error anyway. Mike D'Antoni has not committed to playing him, but with Xavier Henry and Steve Nash both being shutdown candidates there is some stash appeal. Still, he can't be called a must-own player with his recent production.

Thu Mar 27 201422:57Kendall Marshall scores five in loss
Kendall Marshall's offensive game remained cold on Thursday, making 2-of-7 from the field for five points with one board, seven assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes vs. the Bucks.
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is not going to be back in the near future, so the first-string point guard spot will be Marshall's for a while and most likely the rest of the season. His 3-point shooting has come back to Earth at just 33.3 percent in his previous 17 games since the break, but the output in dimes makes him a No. 2 point guard in most fantasy formats.

Sat Mar 22 201403:51Kendall Marshall scores four in 29 minutes
Kendall Marshall played 29 minutes and made just two of eight shots from the field vs. the Wizards on Friday, scoring a total of four points with two boards, seven assists and two steals.
Steve Nash did return from his nerve irritation, but he also tweaked something late and could be in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game vs. Orlando. The Lakers also losing Jordan Farmar (groin) for a couple weeks suggests Marshall is basically a lock to get minutes in the high 20s for the foreseeable future. Like most Lakers, his fantasy value is a bit volatile, but he's worth owning in standard leagues for his dimes and steals.
